FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
First off let me apologize in advance for the following... Thumbtack charges us Thumbtack vendors approx. $60 - $75 when we reply to your initial inquiry - even though we may be answering your most general pre-sales question. You might be months away from starting your project and simply doing basic research. Therefore, professional companies like ours on Thumbtack have become very reluctant to reply to requests for quotes or requests for information if you provide very little detailed and specific information about your project. For us, it could be a $60 or $75 hello that never goes further. You're not to blame. You need answers to basic questions, but Thumbtack charge us (approx. $60 - $75) the moment we enter into a conversation with you - even if it never goes anywhere. If contacting us via the Thumbtack system, please be very detailed with your request - providing us lots of information about your project. We aren't able to spend $60-75 in order to reply to a person who asks a simple question like "do you do WordPress?" or "do you offer discounts for non-profits?" ============================= As no two website project are exactly alike, it's very hard to have a standard price sheet. Most business sites we build fall into a price range of $1500.00 - $10000.00 We've built sites for as little as $500.00, and for more than $50,000.00, but the average range as stated above is generally where project pricing ends up. Call us to briefly talk over your project and we'll quickly let you know what range you're going to be looking at. Exact prices are then agreed to once we understand all of the details of your project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with a new customer generally means an initial phone call to briefly discuss the project. But once we both think that we are on the same page (broad strokes), then it's usually time for us to meet the client and have a detailed chat about the project, specific requirements, budget, etc. If after our meeting the client likes what he/she has heard and decides to hire us, we then get to work. The process from start to finish takes about 20-30 days (often less). The client has the ability to monitor daily progress online with the site's development, and also has the final say in everything regarding the design issues. We can help client with every aspect of the project - from website design, content creation (the text copy), to domain name, to website hosting, email accounts setup, and finally with website training. Once the new site is live, we then hope you'll allow us to be your support team anytime you need assistance with the site.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our field is a rapidly changing one, and so we find ourselves always attending continuing education classes and seminars. Reading industry publications looking for new trends and techniques is something we take seriously. It's not uncommon for us to spend 4 to 5 hours each week in one form of on-going education or another.
