I took a few training sessions with Helen while at Swim Camp Mexico. She made it fun, informal & interesting. She helped me learn new exercises to add to my dry land training routine to hit muscle groups I had been neglecting. I particularly enjoyed learning how to use TRX bands. Helen is a gift. She is now in the process of preparing my for my second pageant. When I came to her, I could barely cook, ate mostly processed foods, and had never lifted weights. One year later, I work out most days per week with a serious strength training routine Helen crafts for me and my diet has totally flipped thanks to her encouragement and knowledge. Helen is fantastic. Her energy and passion for health and fitness is inspiring and infectious. On top of that, she is just a solidly competent fitness professional in whose abilities I have the utmost confidence. She tailored my workouts to my needs and goals, and this was important to me. Everybody seems to have their own idea of what fitness goals should look like, and I wanted a trainer that would listen to what I want from my body and help me build the habits and knowledge I need to attain those goals. Her instructions are always clear and concise, and she demonstrates exercises clearly, and then guides me in correct form so that I learn to perform them properly. This is exactly the kind of instruction I was looking for. I have been in and out of gyms for most of my life, but I was looking for something more structured and goal-oriented. She built on what I already knew and has filled in many gaps along the way. Helen is everything you’d want in a trainer: knowledgeable, supportive, and punctual. She really knows her stuff (and as a super-fit climber, American Ninja Warrior, Olympic lifter and swimmer: she can walk the walk!), and is constantly furthering her fitness education/resumé. She will definitely challenge you to leave your comfort zone but she’s so encouraging/empowering that you’ll feel comfortable with being challenged. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer monthly plans with 1x, 2x or 3x a week sessions. Plans start at $420 a month. Since I travel to you, please ask me for the exact price for your location. Sessions are 45-minutes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We will do a fitness assessment and chat about your goals. I customize workouts to your body and I try to make it enjoyable for you!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Certified Strength Coach and Certified Personal Trainer. I love working with people to transform their lifestyle for the better. This usually involves lifting weights, having fun and lots of laughter! I'm also an American Ninja Warrior, avid rock climber and instructor, international ice swimming competitor, snowboarder, weight lifter and overall fitness addict.
