Introduction: I provide art education as well as freelance work for the Greater Boston area. I hold an MFA in visual arts and have training in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Digital Media.
I teach all levels, from parent/child classes to teens, including portfolio preparation, but I specialize in adult learning, mastering techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture, and conceptual work.
My freelance work includes anything that you have a vision and budget for!
I enjoy working with my clients to find the best creative solutions for what they have in mind. I then translate those ideas into two-dimensional, 3D or 4D forms.

Tereza gave me art lessons for about a year. We worked together and she insisted that I needed to try art. I was convinced I couldn't do. She taught me otherwise! She was so patient and so positive and wouldn't give up on me. She's not only a gifted artist, but a gifted and inspiring teacher.

Tereza at Art Studio is a remarkable teacher! After being petrified for most of my life to attempt portraiture I tried a portrait drawing class with her. I was blown away! Her approach, including a 3 dimensional sculptural focus completely freed me to draw and capture the essence of people and their faces within a couple of weeks! I am forever grateful for the day I signed up!

My experience with Tereza Swanza from Art Studio was delightful! She scheduled our first two appointments promptly, presented clear step by step drawing (& watercolor) directions, and provided an organized, supportive and refreshing studio location. Her knowledge of art history was obvious. I particularly appreciated how well she responded to my individual comments and needs.

I love learning Art with Tereza. She brings a new perspective to teaching. She blends teaching technique with a deeper sense of understanding yourself within the Art you are making, and asks what do you want to communicate with your work. I feel really lucky to have found Tereza!
