Singing Lessons

Stacey is a great vocal coach. She provides many kinds of vocal workouts and explains the purpose of each one. She provides music charts and tracks in advance, so I can try new songs. Stacey is very kind and has a good sense of humor. Highly recommended!

Working with Stacey has truly been a blessing. She is a passionate and kind individual who cares about her students. Being a beginner singer, Stacey has taken the time to help me learn and understand the many different pieces there is to singing. She has helped me learn all types of techniques in a way that I understand them best. Coming from a dance background, she comes up with amazing analogies that really help me to grasp each concept. Not only has she helped me with my vocal techniques, but she has also helped me to gain more confidence in myself and abilities. Each lesson has been fun and enjoyable. She is also an amazing actress and is so knowledgeable in the field. I would recommend anyone to work with Stacey, you will not regret it! Thank you Stacey for all you do!

Stacey is as gifted a voice teacher as she is a singer. She knows so much about technique and style and is amazing at communicating during lessons. She makes excellent use of your time together and her fees are super reasonable. Staceys fun personality is the cherry on top. Whether you are new to singing or have sung professionally for years, I highly recommend Stacey.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer the following lesson options: A one hour lesson at $60 A 45 minute lesson at $45 A 30 minute lesson at $30 If you're looking for the freedom to be able to sign up for one lesson at a time, when you want to take it, then I'm for you. I don't tie you down with a package deal with an expiration date. *All new students are required to take a one hour introductory lesson at $50 *

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

New students are supplied with vocal exercise sheets and sheet music for a beginner piece, so that I can "take your voice for a ride" at first lesson. This helps me determine your musical and vocal abilities so that I can choose appropriate repertoire for you in the weeks that follow. We'll also talk about your goals. What is it that you hope to achieve in lessons? I will custom fit your lesson time to help you achieve those goals.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (summa cum laude) from Rhode Island College (2010), as well as a BA in Theatre Arts from Rhode Island College (1991). I have studied voice for a total of 14 years. I have directed Providence College's opera and musical theatre workshop, and have taught masterclass for their musical theatre audition class. I've served as adjudicator for the New England Show Choir Classic competition as well as RINATS (Rhode Island Teachers of Singing) competition.
