If your confidence has been lost when you are speaking English because of your pronunciation, I strongly recommend you meet Bren McElroy. She is a very experienced teacher: In her lessons, she coaches you how use tongue, lips, teeth, and air to pronounce correctly. It is very practical, so I could recognize my progress quickly; in just the first 15 minutes, she identified my pronunciation weak points and effectively guided me through an efficient process to overcome my pronunciation difficulties. Bren is enthusiastic and she encourages me which helps my confidence when speaking English. Every lesson is fun!

Sibyl is YOUR teacher! I have been trying to learn Spanish on and off over several years, and finally wanted to get serious. I have taken 3 classes so far with Sibyl and she's a great teacher who quickly adjusts to her students needs. Sibyl works with every level, I'm an advanced beginner and 90% of our class time is already in Spanish! If you want to improve or learn Spanish quickly( or slowly), meet with Sibyl for her affordable one on one classes, and great personality.

Lee really is a good teacher. I am able to write this in English because, among other reasons, she was very patient, didactic and fun while I was learning English with her. I really recommend her.

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge” (Albert Einstein). From the day one, our son enjoyed each and every Glenn’s class and used to look forward to meet him again and diligently did his homework for the next lesson, which was such a surprise from a 10-year-old boy who used to give reasons for not overloading his pretty tough after-school activities’ schedule with another tutoring. We extremely appreciate the innovative joyful and thought-provoking approach by which Glenn helped Alex not only in getting improved his English writing skills and test scores, but also in tremendously enriching his vocabulary, comprehending complex conceptions and ideas through discussion and developing Alex’s critical and analytical thinking. We want to express our sincere gratitude for all the wonderful work Glenn has done and looking forward to continue Glenn’s classes for the following academic years. Alex and Olga

I can describe Chris in one word: PASSION. He is passionate about teaching and all passion he has is turned into energy always giving 100%. He's the best teacher I ever had. With him I feel I'm really learning and improving my English skills. His classes are alternatives and especially original: with Chris is impossible to be bored! He creates his lessons really thinking to his students. He is one of the only teachers who hasn't forgotten how it was to be a student. In my opinion that's amazing! What I like most is that every class is active, dynamic and unique. Chris for me isn't just an English teacher, he's a life coach: he taught to me to face life in a different way, has taught me that we mustn't give up, because the beauty of life is its "non-perfection". Now I know there is always something to be proud of and that something brings us to achieve the big goals. I feel very lucky to have met Chris, he's a great teacher and a great person. There should be more people/teachers like him.

Paul is an extremely good teacher because he is always aware of each step in the learning process. He singles out problems quickly so that the student can move on. In my experience, Paul was supportive and always encouraging. Every week he provided exercises or other material to assist me before the lesson. Learning French is an on-going process for me and I keep improving.

The secretaries at Alliance Francaise do a fantastic job of being personal and organized. I had to withdraw from classes one session and they transferred my money to the next session without any heckling or difficulty. They converse in French or English depending on the abilities of the person and are extremely helpful!

Excellent, clear, concise resume writing and has consistently helped to get me into the room with an interviewer. Marian worked with me over a few drafts to get it just right. No pressure to finish until I had what I needed.

My experience with Jim was very positive. He was very aware of my daughters needs and sensitive in providing a class schedule that was practicable for my daughter and his instructors. He is very flexible and is an amazing scheduler. I cannot argue the results. We are proud of our daughter and very thankful to Jim and his team of very capable instructors.

I enjoy helping people come to a greater understanding of the Spanish and English languages. I offer services to help the student looking to improve his/her grades, those with the professional desire to improve their Spanish, the native Spanish speaker wanting to improve his/her English and/or the person with a passing interest in picking up a few Spanish phrases.

I thought the courses for English and accent reduction would be fairly ridged in approach. Also, was unsure how learning on-line would work. I was wrong. The instructor took the time to understand my background – what is my primary language, how along was my current English speaking, and even the industry I was working in. All of this was important to tailoring my lessons to focus on the areas I needed to work on. Learning was also relaxed yet effective..

About

I try to focus in a couple of areas in which I have a lot of experience rather than spread myself out and do too much. I find this works better for both the student and me. The two areas of which I speak of are music and English. Specifically, in music, I teach the guitar from the basics to more advanced lessons. The student can choose any area in which he wishes to focus, including jazz, classical, pop, blues, etc., electric or acoustic. In English, I teach basic writing skills and the grammar that goes along with that. In addition, I can address more specific topics in which the student might express interest in, such as essay writing, songwriting, and script writing for movies. That's basically it. I'm not interested in trying to teach someone just for the sake of having a student. I won't accept a student unless I feel I can help you. Period.
