- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Varies. I quote based on the various shoot requests after speaking with client to understand and explain pricing, and hear expectations. All shoots vary but I have a basic Day Rate. Flat Rate Downloads and Web Gallery pricing. In-Kind Non-Profit Pricing is also different.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Reviewing request for services. Determining whether their budget is reasonable, and finding out deadline. Also calling to speak in person, to learn about them and their project or request. Determining how much time will be spent of post photo digital Post Processing, re-touching, digital uploads, and end uses. Clear understanding of quote with Letter of Agreement. Setting up contact info for last minute changes, updates, or possible weather or travel issues.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Photography classes with Myron B. Wood - Colorado. Middlebury College Contributing Photographer. New England School of Photography Degree in AV Media, and Fine Art Photography - 2 Yr Degree. Continuous Santa Fe Workshops, and Maine Media and Photo Workshops. New England School of Photography - Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and other Post Processing training. Am a Senior Producer of dozens of high end videos. Continuous training with ASMP, and Rule Broadcast. Staff Photographer at City Year for 12 years. 25 years plus as Freelancer or Contractor. On going training monthly. Webinars and Workshops.
