Erik and his business partner were great. Very flexible and willing to work with us in order to get the job done. They had a great attitude and came up with suggestions when they thought was necessary to enhance the job. The job ended up being more than just assembling furniture. Hiring Erik through an online service was outside my comfort zone because I usually work with individuals referred by friends etc. However, I reside in a different state, had no contacts in MA., and the job needed to get done. Erik provided his phone number and I was able to talk to him several times and prearranged everything beforehand. We had basically a weekend to get everything done so my son could move in before classes began. I pre bought paint from a hardware store convenient for Erik to get to and while I was flying to MA, they were painting the room. The next morning I met them and while his business partner continued with the painting, Erik went with us to the local IKEA to help us re-purchase the items because my pre-order from Ikea never arrived in time. Therefore, we would have not had any furniture to assemble. Luckily, we found all the items we needed at IKEA and he transported those items to my sons room. He also went with us to a local Home Depo and gathered additional items needed although it was not in our original plan. We ended up buying a window shade, a wall mounting bracket for TV, etc. By midday Sunday, the entire work was finished to our satisfaction. They worked early evening on Friday, the entire day Saturday, and half a day on Sunday. The room was painted (walls, ceiling, door, moldings, and closet), they repaired the tile floor and helped us set up a large area rug, they mounted the window shade, shelves on the wall, and the TV. In addition, they assembled all the furniture which consisted of a full bed, a desk, a 6 drawer dresser, a free standing shelf, and a unit over desk. We would have never been able to complete this job without the help of Erik and his business partner.
