Fran helps me with copyediting and proofreading on a regular basis. I can always count on her to do a thorough job. She is also very proactive about asking questions and I trust her to work directly with my own clients. If you need a solid editor or proofreader, I highly recommend Fran.
I've worked with Monica for nearly 15 years on projects ranging from YA books to technical articles in trade magazines. I appreciate her careful evaluation of editorial content, attention to detail, proactive communication and on-time delivery. The last few projects have involved fiction and nonfiction book editing for my publishing company. As usual, she came in on time and under budget. I strongly recommend her to writers, editors, and publishers looking for a professional copy editor or proofreader.
Doris Troy is a dream to work with. Reads and edits quickly and accurately. And often includes little notes that are laugh-out-loud funny!
After eleven books together, I can't imagine working with anyone else. From a technical point of view, she doesn't just go through with a red pen (or comment tool), she explains her reasoning, especially if the correction could go in different directions. That extra information not only helps me in that book, it sticks in my head and I like to think my writing has improved as a result. On the creative side, she provides sound input on consistency and story development, ensuring that my characters stay true to themselves. This is no easy task in a true series where the same core cast appears frequently. I use spreadsheets and flowcharts to keep them all safe, and knowing she's as invested in them makes her my first and only choice in editors. But, I think my favorite part of working with Jessica is getting little insights into how the book made her feel. We're all readers, aren't we? A book can be technically sound, but is it enjoyable? Jessica will leave comments in the draft on parts that really struck her (good and bad), and summarize her overall impression in a way that is both constructive and encouraging. Jessie G Author of the Sizzling Miami, Devils Pride MC, and Forgotten Soldier series
I've used a lot of editors over the years, and There for You Editing is wonderful. I've always received a quick turn around for my manuscripts and quality work. I highly recommend this editor.
Sherry Thompson helped considerably with my application process to law school. With her expertise in the graduate school application process, she was able to help me craft an individualized timeline, and gave excellent feedback on my application materials. I was lucky to find an outstanding consulting group in Forward Motion 411, and highly recommend it to others who are looking for help with post-secondary educational admissions consulting.
Sarah is my go-to editor/proofreader for every project; from resume design and professional writing, to academic assignments and even creative pieces. I have absolute trust in her knowledge of grammar and punctuation, as well as her eye for layout and her ear for perfect word choice. She is direct and tactful in communicating her recommendations. Our interactions have been fun, smart and time efficient. I always come away feeling uplifted.
Tom was very thoughtful in his feedback on my document (85,000 words) and often offered alternative phrasings in the comments section. He queried things he did not understand clearly and I never felt like he skirted over any sections without checking things properly. His rates were also extremely reasonable for the work done. I was thankful to have another set of eyes to check through my work.
We used Wendy for copy-editing and voice-over work. Her quick response time, professionalism and expertise were exactly what we needed. As a small, start-up, we needed someone to guide us and deliver quick results. Wendy did just that! She was able to work with tight deadlines and provide constructive criticism for us to improve our marketing materials and strategy.
I love to clean! If your home, office, business, or car is out of wack and could use a sparkle or decluttering, I'm yours.
I have the ability to edit and correct using positive feedback without influencing the voice of the writer. Using subtleties of language, your message will come through loud and clear.

Resourceful and skilled Copy Editor and Writing Professional with a solid professional and educational foundation in designing and executing business, marketing and communications strategies, along with written material requiring a talent for capturing the essence of corporate objectives in the written word. Dedicated business professional with an uninterrupted record of success and the distinct ability to blend business sense with creative expertise in order to contribute toward impactful writing solutions.
To the people who know me I am the best editor available who never actually majored at college in English. This allows people to get a rather high quality result for less, as I do currently charge lower fees due to suffered brain damage that causes memory issues and bad insomnia.

I am an editor of and consultant for academic and creative writing. I can help students doing papers or freelance writers. I can help you finish a project you've been procrastinating on or help you start and finish the project you've always dreamed of. I've been hired by people of all ages and abilities. I have worked with a wide range of people from published, award-winning poets and other writers to Ivy League professors and doctoral students. I have also worked as an English tutor with high school and college students for over 20 years. I teach workshops on publishing and have worked at several presses. As an editor in the creative writing field people appreciate my directness and ability to encourage his or her distinct voice for each piece. In an academic and tutoring assignment it's my organizational skills and my ability to look for themes, find cohesion, and cut repetitions that helps writers the most. Finally, I am fair and honest with my estimates and communicate any possible fluctuations with my commitments in a timely manner.
I have been the editor of an independent, literary press publishing fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry for the last 10 years. In that role, I've seen so many good books rejected because of issues that could have been solved with the help of an editor. My freelance book editing service is designed to help new and established authors solve these issues and realize their books' full potentials. With me as your editor, you get someone who is not only meticulous about grammar and punctuation, sentence structure and tone, character and plot development, but someone who is deeply devoted to the written word and to helping authors see their visions through. I am a writer too, so I also understand the highs and lows of the writing process and can share my techniques for pushing through moments of doubt and blocks. Humor, a friendly partnership, esoteric conversations about writing, take-home exercises, and honest criticism and feedback are all part of the package! Whether you are interested in self-publishing or are seeking representation, I know both publishing arenas quite well. When your book is ready, I can help you navigate these worlds to find the right fit. I also work with several book designers, so if you are self-pubishing, you may want to take advantage of their talents. I offer a variety of services: Manuscripts Critiques, Developmental Editing, Copyediting, and Writing Coaching. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your book!
