- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You will get what you pay for when you hire me. As far as quality writing goes, I beat the market price, while still delivering a fantastic product, which my reviews, references, and writing samples clearly reflect. Due to the nature of writing and editing being highly varied in both style and subject matter, I price on a project-by-project basis. I have flat rate, hourly, and per-word options available. Under special circumstances for local jobs, I can meet with clients in-person. However, due to the extra time this requires, it will result in a higher price for the job. Since I work alone, all meetings have to be in a public location. Absolutely no exceptions to either of these conditions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To start, I like to have an in-depth conversation with the client to figure out what they would like to gain from my services. Before beginning a job, I want to establish exactly what I’m expected to do, what the client’s budget is, and whether I’m a good fit for the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been professionally writing or editing in some form for the better part of the last five years. I studied creative writing and English literature at UMass Amherst. According to my professors and peers, my more technical essays, as well as creative prose pieces stood out. I’m currently a staff writer for Round By Round Boxing, writing columns on the sport I love and still participate in on a competitive level. Aside from that, I’m an aspiring novelist. Freelancing is the perfect way to monetize my passion for writing while I’m working on my own larger projects. That said, I fully commit to anything I’m working on in the moment. Your project is my primary concern.
