FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For headshots and portraits my pricing includes a 1 hour photography session either in my studio in Winthrop or at your home. After the session I will edit them and provide an on-line gallery of selections. You may have all of these images and from them, you may choose 4 to be professionally retouched. Professional retouching will remove stray hairs, skin blemishes, and other imperfections, wrinkles, scars and other marks will be reduced or removed. Retouching can make a great headshot outstanding. For event photography, I charge an hourly rate and provide all the images within a few days in a downloadable online gallery in both internet and printable resolution. My charges include any travel and expenses all editing, preparation of final galleries and delivery. For all of my projects, digital files are included in the quoted prices and prints are available through the delivery web service at very reasonable prices.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a Thumbtack introduction, the next thing to do is find a date and time for the session. We can do this with a phone call or through e-mail, Thumbtack or text. Once the session is set, there are questions of what type of clothes to wear, jewelry and accessories. My studio had a private dressing room and bathroom so it's very convenient to bring several choices of clothes from casual to more formal. On the day of the session, we will meet and spend a few minutes getting settled and comfortable. Once we start working, we will shoot more than 100 photographs working to find the right combination of angle, light and expression. We will do a session for each outfit option and spend roughly an hour together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am formally trained as a photographer at the Art Institute of Boston. I have continued my education with many seminars, and Master Classes with national and international photographers and industry experts. My work has been shown in galleries and exhibitions throughout New England.
