Cathleen was an awesome addition to our wedding. We did a DIY wedding so we really just needed help the day of, and Cathleen was an amazing day-of planner. She helped me find a rental company for our tent/chairs/tables and she even came and walked the venue grounds with me to meet the rental company months and months before our big day. Cathleen answered each one of my emails/calls extremely timely, gave me advice about the timeline for the day, and was super professional. I am thankful that Cathleen was with us that day! Jennifer was our day of coordinator for our May 30th, 2015 wedding. In the month leading up to the wedding she helped me stay focused and on task. She kept all the vendors in the loop and went above and beyond to make sure I was prepared for the most amazing day of my life. I do not know how I could have done it without her and Shannon. Both these women encouraged my vision and worked tirelessly to ensure my dream wedding came to fruition. I was impressed by the teams' high level of professionalism and creative mindset. I met with Jen at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday June 22, 2015 and she was outstanding. Jen was very nice, listened to my needs, wants, and concerns. She made the stress of planning a wedding go away, she made me feel comfortable and like I could do this. I will be using her services for my engagement photos and as a wedding planner. I am very pleased with her so far I only had one meeting with her but so far it has been wonderful.

Planning a destination wedding in Newport, RI in 6 months while living hundreds of miles away, working full time, moving once cross-country, finding a new job, starting a new job, etc, etc, is no easy task, even with a wedding planner! With everything going on in my life, plus the short timeframe (the wedding date we selected was 6 months out from the day we secured the venue), and the fact that I am a perfectionist, I knew I was going to need help. I was lucky enough to come across SYB Event Planning while on Thumbtack. I interviewed a few companies and ended up selecting SYB because Soraya, the owner, and I really clicked while talking on the phone. While I wasn't necessarily looking for a cultural wedding, I knew she would understand some of the nuances with our families because my husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds. Soraya specializes in taking the time to understand different cultures and she goes out of her way to embed as much or as little as you want of you or your partner's culture into your wedding. I'm so glad I had Soraya for the entire wedding planning process and for the day of the wedding. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and totally exceeded my expectations (this is a perfectionist speaking...just for some perspective). I don't think that could have been possible without having Soraya helping along the way. She challenged me to think about things I would have never thought of and took care of all the details. She went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as successful as it could be. She even drove over 90 miles each way to get us a cute favor that we really wanted for our guests...without hesitating! I didn't even ask her, but when she heard me talking about what I would like to do if the place was closer, she just jumped in and said she would take care of it. I'm so thankful for everything Soraya did to make our special day a success and would highly recommend her to anyone trying to plan a wedding.
Brad of Skylight Entertainment is hands down the most pleasant person to work with! He's able to take control (for those of us who have no idea what they're doing while planning a wedding) but leaves all options open and let's you make the final decision with no judgements. He is a jack of ALL traits and when I mean ALL I mean ALL! If you need something, he has it or will find a way of obtaining it. He's there for you no matter when you need him and even helps with rehearsals when he has absolutely no obligation to! You really feel like you have a friend by your side, not just a DJ, or photographer or JOP. Lastly, he is so financially accommodating! You give him and price and what you're looking for, and he works with it! I wouldn't recommend anyone other than and and again, thank you so much!!

BEST WEDDING PLANNING DECISION WE MADE. Victoria & her team were by far and away the best decision my (now) husband and I made in planning our wedding. They were incredible professional & the biggest value add to our day. Leading up to the wedding Victoria was an absolute life savor in the process. She provided her expertise saving me countless hours in research and I knew I could trust her to put Steve and I first in her advice. She was incredible responsive & always available to hop on a call to talk through things. Our wedding turned out absolutely perfect without any hiccups as most brides warned me would likely happen, not ONE hiccup and I know it was because of Victoria. Another huge asset Victoria & her team provides is the actual day. She pulled my husband and I away at the right times giving us little breaks in the day to really take it in and enjoy each other. I can't tell you how incredible that was because it allowed my husband & I some breathing room and it made it so we didn't ever need to be rude to our guests. From the moment we had contact with one another until the day of my wedding reception, Seas the Moment went above and beyond. The decor was beautiful. Her responses to my emails were immediate and her attention to detail was flawless. I feel like I have gained a friend. She listened to all of my requests and she also accommodated any last minute changes I made. I would give her a 10 out of 10 all day, everyday. I can't even tell you what a true treasure Camille was in helping us create the perfect light to set the mood for our wedding. That be said she even went beyond her job and helped first of all calm me down as my cake vendor and florist BOTH botched up royally. She took the time to even help with some of my decorations. Her PROFESSIONALISM, COMPASSION, GO WAY ABOVE JUST BEING A SERVICE. The pricing was great and a lot of vendors should try to strive to be as good. Nancy's Affordable wedding services was a GOD sent! I hired Nancy to make our pews, place and table cards as well as our memorial for our loved ones who past on! Everything Nancy did for us was simply beautiful. I sent Nancy images and she designed them even better than I imagined. Looking at the items you could clearly tell that she created all of our items with love and care. Nancy's services were professional extremely creative and everything was so personable. Yvonne was an exceptional wedding planner. We had multiple meetings with her leading up to our special day, and she was always willing to accommodate us. Five stars is selling Theresa short- we’d need about nine stars to truly convey what she did for us. Hiring her was the Single Best Decision we made about anything having to do with our wedding. What makes Theresa a nine-star event planner goes far beyond being great at her job, but it bears mentioning that her skills as a planner are fantastic. She helped us make a plan we liked, kept us on schedule, and it cost exactly what she said it would. But she went above and beyond the planning to become our ally, counselor and forceful advocate in an unfamiliar process. Our typical conversation went like this: Me: I am worried about [thing that I thought was a problem]. Theresa: Don’t worry. [List of three ways to fix the problem] Me: I think that [overpriced wedding thing] costs too much. Theresa: Don’t worry. [List of two cheaper options, plus one way to avoid the expense altogether]. Me: Can you send me [thing we won’t need to worry about for three months] Theresa: Don’t worry. I will send it to you when you need to take care of it. …and so on. She was always calm, and she was always reassuring- and she was always right. We owe her a huge debt of gratitude for a smooth and wonderful wedding day.

I plan birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, fund-raisers, and retirement parties. I will make sure your event is everything you dreamed of and more. The three types of wedding packages I offer are as follows: * Package 1 -- Full Service This package is for the couple who wants to be stress free and enjoy being engaged. We will create a wedding budget, plant it, and help bring you dream wedding to life. This fee does not include price of materials, starts at $2,500. * Package 2 -- Day/Week-of Coordinating The couple will do all the planning up until the final week. We will then take over and have final follow-ups with all vendors, set up and break down decor for reception site, and do rehearsal, ceremony and reception coordination. Price is $1,300. * Package 3 -- Bring Your Wedding to Life The couple will do the major planning, vision and design of their wedding. We will execute your vision. Price is $1,000. Fee does not include materials on your set budget for decor and floral. After-hour cleanup is $150. * Any other events -- Fee starts at $50 an hour depending on how big the event is.
