Knowledgeable highly experienced breeder . Exceptional quality GSP and training . Highly recommended
We had Jennifer over to help us with our giant schnauzer, lab and terrier mix dog. She showed us the gentle leader and was very helpful with all the tips she gave us. We plan on having her back to help us with obedience training. She was great with our dog Abbie. Would definitely recommend her for training any dog. She has a great personality, professional and Abbie liked her.
Peter was attentive and very kind. For our first training session, he taught basic techniques that seem to be aligned with the methods he uses. The second appointment he gave more specific direction on the original issue I sought training to address. Overall, I would invite him back for evaluations, his prices are great for the area, and he comes to you. I was looking for a trainer to help me with a specific negative behavior my dog began in the past year. If you are hoping for specific behavior corrections, this may not be the best route to take. I would recommend Peter for initial/new dog training and basic obedience training.
Theresa was fantastic with our dog Olive. she has an extensive amount of knowlege when it comes to dog training it was very impressive. She came prepared with treats and clickers and an excitement to train. Can't wait for our next session!
Sandy is awesome! She has been doing basic obedience training with our dogs and she has given us some great pointers. We recently started having an issue with one of our dogs being aggressive towards children. Sandy has gone above and beyond in trying to help us. We called her after one incident and she actually came right over to our house to talk to us about the situation, which was very reassuring. On another occasion when our dog snapped at a visitor's child, we called Sandy and she came right over to work with our dog and the child together. We have been so impressed with her level of commitment to helping us and our dogs. If you are looking for a caring and thoughtful trainer, we very highly recommend Sandy at The Pawsitive Experience!
So far Mike has provided us with the basic training techniques to train our 1 year old dog Bentley. In just 2 sessions she is learning the house rules. Thanks so much.
I rarely write reviews for businesses but it is my extreme pleasure to add a review for John Horan of ACTK9. John went above and beyond in training my dog Cooper. I could not be more please with the results of his work. I now have a wonderful dog who comes when called, downs, places, etc. I highly recommend John to everyone who wants the same results. He is a true professional. Thanks you John.
I have two dogs a German Shepherd and a husky they are both great dogs just needed help with more training in obedience after just one session both of my dogs are doing amazing and listening even better. Not only does he show you how to work with your dogs but he is a great person and willing to answer any question and he also doesn’t talk down to you or talk you like your stupid which was my experience with other trainers.
I went to Jezzie paws with a new 4 month old golden retriever who hadn’t had any training. Jessica is amazing. She trains in a loving and caring way using positive reinforcement. I would definitely recommend going to Jezzie paws for any kind of training. She can handle it all.
Ashley does a great job with both the dogs and the owners. I am amazed at how my dog has learned with her and I have learned too! I am on my 4th class with her and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She has an amazing ability to balance training the dog with encouraging and teaching the humans at the same time!
Lee was extremely knowledgeable on dog training methods and helped me with training my fearful and reactive dog. I love that all of her methods are force free and positive and that she doesn't use punishment as a means of training behavior. Lee goes above and beyond in the time she gives you in helping to train your dog and makes sure that in between sessions you have things to practice to continue with the training. She was also full of helpful tips and suggestions about keeping my dog active and busy (and therefore keep him out of trouble) when we couldn't go outside during the long cold spell we had this past winter. I would highly recommend Lee for helping with any issues you may be having with your dog!
My wife and I attended classes at Patience Inspired Dog Training and found it to be excellent in all matters. We have attended many classes at other facilities over the years with our dogs and found this to be the best. We especially liked the patience that Michelle has during her classes and while working with our dog and us. Overall it was a great experience!
We have an older Doberman and a new puppy Doberman, Krystal was excellent. We really like her style of training and we've already noticed improvements after only one session. We plan on continuing to use her services!
Yvonne is AWESOME !!! We adopted 2 shelter dogs and found Yvonne to help us understand them. We have had 4 other dogs, went through training with all of them but we have learned so much more from Yvonne!! We HIGHLY recommend her she knows her stuff !!!!
Excellent is an understatement. This is more than just obedience training. It is insight to the dog/human relationship, from the dogs point of view. I didn't think I could change the behavior of my 4 1/2 year old dog, but I was mistaken. I just needed to stop doing all the wrong things. Don't go elsewhere just to realize you should have made Progressive Canine Dog Training and Behavioral Services your first stop!
A little over a month ago I was in an impossible situation with my 1 yr old puppy, Piper. Or, as we liked to call her, "Hyper Piper". Although a very happy puppy inside our home, Piper had SEVERE social anxiety. She demonstrated fearful aggression (barking, growling, hiding) towards ALL people except those in our household and all animals except her sister, our 4 yr old Golden Doodle. I was at a complete loss. I couldn't take her for a walk because of her social anxiety, yet I couldn't address the anxiety because I couldn't even walk her. That's when I decided I needed the help of a professional; someone trained in helping the dog as well as the family, in such a situation. After researching several trainers and much contemplation, my husband and I decided that hour long weekly training sessions would not be sufficient to work through Piper's anxiety and meet our needs, which was to have a well trained dog that adhered to command and who was well behaved in public. So we opted to send Piper away for 4 weeks to train with Ken at Caliber K9. This was NOT an easy decision! I was giving away "my baby" for 4 weeks! I had every range of emotion..."what if he hurts her? What if she doesn't remember me? What if he likes her better than me?" All logical questions for a dog mom, right? I can tell you, it was the very best decision I could have made. From day one, Ken demonstrated his vast knowledge as he handled my dog (my baby!). Coupled with a quiet and professional demeanor, I knew training with Ken would be a success. Once away from home, Ken was sympathetic to how much I missed Piper. He provided me daily updates via text with pictures and videos demonstrating Piper's progress. On a few occasions, after establishing Piper's trust, I was able to visit and watch first hand while Ken trained. Four weeks went by quickly (surprisingly!) and Piper made incredible strides. She battled "squirrels in her head " (as Ken likes to call it) ignoring outside stressors, learned how to walk nicely on lead, learned to climb a ladder (for confidence!), learned to stay in command, etc. While Piper still needs some continuing training (she's a very "complex" dog) the strides she made are again, incredible. Everything I asked and paid for. To ensure Piper continues moving forward Ken has agreed to meet with me weekly. These sessions are designed to train ME in handling Piper. If your dog is not a severe case such as mine, you may very well not need additional training. The progress made in 4 weeks is probably perfectly suitable for "normal" dogs. But for me these additional sessions are invaluable. Today, Piper went to the park where she encountered dogs and people, roamed PETCO, and even went into (Yes, INTO!) the mall. She "performed" remarkably! Ken only trains one dog at a time. This was a huge selling point for me. While his pricing was measurable to other board and train establishments, training with Ken meant that my dog would get undivided attention. This may very well be one of the reasons Piper has done so well. And probably most important for me, Ken evaluated Piper's personality immediately. His goal was to train Piper without stripping her of her fun and loving personality. He delivered what he promised (so grateful!) and I couldn't be happier. Today, when we meet weekly, Piper is so excited to see Ken. And she seems to genuinely enjoy her training sessions! And so do I. It's such a positive experience for both of us. If you have a dog that just needs general obedience training, or one with more severe issues like Piper, Ken is your trainer. You won't be disappointed. If you are considering training and would like to speak in person feel free to send me a request via Messenger. Mary Lanzillo-Miller
Amazing!! I couldn't be happier with the training my two shepherds recieved. They are wonderful off leash, I can bring them anywhere! I get compliments on how well they are trained all the time. If you want high quality training of your dog you've found the perfect place. I would and will take all my future dogs here. Titan (17 months when trained) and Layla (7 months when trained) are still well behaved and listen. Yet act like dogs, they still have their own personalities, that was no broken from them in training as some other trainers have done.
Cindy is a wonderful and knowledgeable trainer who spent time training us and our dog! She was calm but firm with her training methods, and was very familiar with our mixed breed. I would highly recommend her and Pawfection Pet Training to anyone that is looking for training or help with their dog!
