I had never studied the piano and was nervous to start when I was already in high school. Angela makes it fun and easy to learn. She's very patient with a great sense of humor. I look forward to week's lesson and know that I want to continue studying piano when I go to college.Jan 23, 2018
I have known Angela for six years and she is kind to her students and very patient. She is very knowledgeable about the piano and her students really enjoy her lessons. She works very hard to make sure that her students continue growing and learn to love the piano. i have enjoyed each lesson with her.Jan 23, 2018
I have been studying piano for almost ten years and wanted to further my training. Angela was able to take my training to the next level while still making it enjoyable. She is a fantastic teacher and I recommend her to everyone.Jan 23, 2018
We have been working with Angela for 7 years and she has done a great job with our son. He still loves going to her each week. She connects well with children/youth and has a great way of gently encouraging hard work.Jan 28, 2018
We had Angela as an instructor for both of my sons. Both from Kindergarten through 6th Grade. She is a gracious, fun, reliable teacher and comes highly recommended. She knows how to get the best out of all the kids, is kind in her approach and does excellent work. I recommend for any age!Jan 24, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Piano lessons are $30.00/half hour, and are private, one-on-one lessons. Tutoring prices depend upon the student's need - please contact me so we can talk!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always meet students and parents first. I encourage questions and want to ensure that all students are comfortable. After our initial meeting, we plan for our first official lesson - whether a piano lesson or tutoring!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have an M.Ed. in Educational Philosophy and B.A. in Latin and Philosophy. Throughout my academic career, I studied the piano privately. As a current teacher, professional development is a daily practice. For piano, it is imperative to know of current teaching practices and tools and so I regularly consult and associate with other music teachers. Also, as the SAT and ACT evolve, it is necessary to know the current expectations of both tests. I teach the SAT prep program at my high school, as well as for other schools in Central Mass.
