I will hire Oliver again in a minute and plan to as long as he tutors. He made the difference between my grandson failing 8th grade math and making it to 9th grade. Who could ask for more? Quality = 100%!Aug 2, 2017Verified

Oliver was a great help to my daughter reviewing the math section for the ACT and SAT's. Her SAT score increased by 130 points! We were are so pleased, that I have already asked Oliver to tutor my younger daughter with pre-calc and SAT prep in the Fall....Thanks Oliver!!!Jun 23, 2016Verified
My son is a 15 year old in Honors Algebra II at Worcester Academy. He never had much trouble with math in the past, but this class was challenging him and his grades were slipping. Oliver really helped him to fill in the missing parts of his understanding and to feel more confident. My son really liked Oliver's approach and enjoyed his tutoring sessions, and his grades improved significantly. Oliver is very easy to work with as a parent-- he is responsive to calls and messages, understanding about schedule changes, and is very generous with his time-- we scheduled for an hour, but Oliver often stayed longer when he was really engaged in his teaching. I would definitely hire Oliver again for my kids.Jun 10, 2016Verified
Oliver tutored me for my Statistics exam among other Math related courses. I struggled with math all of my academic life and Oliver was well aware of my fears and weaknesses with math in general. He was able to accommodate his teaching style to my needs. I would not have passed otherwise. Oliver is very kind, hard working, smart and reliable. I owe him a lot of credit for helping me get through my courses in math!Jul 16, 2015

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Assess the student's strengths, weaknesses, and needs, then structure the tutorial such that the student maximizes his or her potential.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was trained by The Princeton Review to Teach and tutor SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, GMAT test prep. Within 3 years I was awarded "Master Tutor" status for all of these subjects. In addition to degrees in Mathematics and Psychology I have 1.5 years of graduate school credit in Education and 2.5 years of graduate school credit in Cognitive Science. Also, I remain informed as to changes ETS and other testing companies make to their materials!
- How did you get started doing this type of work? This was a gradual process. In high school I discovered my propensity for explaining school work in a manner that helped some of my friends get through their classes. I continued with this informal tutoring throughout college. In graduate school, I learned that I enjoy leading classes as well. Even upon leaving academia to pursue a career in music, I continued tutoring as a part-time endeavor.
