Yvonne and her assistant, Cally, were wonderful to work with as day-of coordinators for our May 2017 wedding. Everyone kept telling me I was SO RELAXED for it being my wedding day - I can honestly say this is not because I’m a super-chill person usually, but because Yvonne and Cally were taking care of all of the things I would have normally been freaking out about. They went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared and taken care of on our day.
We first spoke over the phone, and then met over drinks once, skyped once, and took a visit to our venue a month or two before the wedding. Yvonne is obviously very experienced, and she was able to quickly understand the vision and vibe of our wedding. My husband and I did most of the planning ourselves, but they were able to make sure we didn’t overlook any important details, as well as offer a few suggestions that we would never have thought to even consider. It made us feel so good to know we were in good hands.
By the day of the rehearsal, we completely handed over the rest of communication/coordination with vendors. For those two days, we didn’t have to think logistics at ALL. We were able to fully enjoy the wedding festivities. The best part was that their behind-the-scenes work was quiet and efficient - they didn’t make it all about them or even make their presence known very much. And yet, there were so many little things they were attending to all day long. Without them, I would have been running around frazzled and not at all relaxed. Everything ran smoothly, we stayed on schedule, and any small issues were troubleshooted without us being interrupted. Hiring Unique Melody for our day-of coordination was BY FAR the most important decision we made for our wedding. Don’t try to do it all on your own!!
