- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Weekly lessons are preferred, and lessons that are purchased in advance in groups of 4 (1 month) receive a 10% discount. Bi-weekly lessons are 20% more per lesson. Lessons are 45 mins of instruction time with 15 extra minutes scheduled in for chatting, extra questions, etc. My cancelation policy requires 24 hours advanced notice for a missed lesson or the full price of the lesson will be charged. Special circumstances such as illness or injury are exempt upon review.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson is free of charge, and it gives me an opportunity to identify what it is that you're looking to learn, the types of music that you're interested in, and your skill level. There is no obligation- just an opportunity for you to decide if I'm the instructor that you're looking to learn from!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Associate's Degree in Musical Performance Bachelor's Degree in Classical Guitar in 2005, with special attention to performance practice, music education, and pedagogy. Master's Degree in 2010 in musicology, focus on Ethnomusicology
