I hired Chef Kev through Thumbtack because he replied promptly to my request and already had a suggested menu based off of my needs. The event was my 1 year wedding anniversary and I requested drop-off catering for a buffet style dinner. The only change that I'd make is the time. Chef Kev was delayed due to traffic but looking back, if he was able to arrive just 15-20 minutes sooner I may have been less distracted and frantic! LOL! Everything else was absolutely awesome. The price was great, the flavor and creativity were amazing... all of my guests enjoyed the food! If I ever decide to hold another large event, Chef Kev will be the first caterer I call!
I was fully satisfied with the services both make-up and hairstyle (bridal half up-do) rendered by Winstead. Hire them now!! I can not even describe how perfect our experience with Maribel and her team! First off, Maribel and Noel were perfect right from the beginning. When I was planning I was having a hard time hearing back from vendors, but Maribel emailed at a quick pace and even gave me a personalized quote right from the beginning! At the tasting they not only provided an amazing experience with PERFECT food, they also wanted to get to know us better and told us about them. It was like having an amazing lunch with friends. They provided a TON of stuff for free or at the best cost around. We told them our colors and they ran with it. Communication with them was always quick and easy which is a blessing to a bride! Now at the wedding they made the space absolutely beautiful. I didn't tell them anything but colors and they brought so many decorations and made the space better than what I would have imagined and I didn't have to think twice about it! Since getting back we have been talking about our wedding with people and the first thing people talk about was the food. It was INCREDIBLE! Every person I've talked to actually got seconds at our wedding and the kids had a personalized kids meal! They also made sure we were served first and we had the food from the cocktail hour they saved from us, a beautiful salad, and our dinner! They made sure that we got to eat the food we paid for! We ate the left overs the next day and it was just s amazing! The team of server that they had with them were so professional and amazing. We are friends with people in the hotel banquet business, even my husband is a server, and we were all blown away by the staff. We also had a different business do our dessert and was going to charge us a cutting fee, but Maribel and her team cut our pies for free and even served them to our guest without anyone asking! Maribel and Noel are extremely kind people who are professional, excellent, and amazing people. Their team is quick and professional. We even got an email from our venue about how incredible they are! DO yourself a favor and contact them now, and you are ensured a delicious meal from incredible, professional people! I have worked with Candra multiple times for birthday parties, weddings, and other events. She is very creative, knowledgeable, driven, reasonable, and enthusiastic. With whatever event she has, she thoroughly plans it out, not missing any detail requested by her customer. She always does her best to satisfy customers. She has great work ethic, very personable; goes above and beyond the customer's request. She strives for excellence in whatever she does and is always willing to make involvements. I hired Esha to do my wedding makeup in addition to my six Bridesmaids, two Junior Bridesmaids, Flower Girl and both Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom and I could not have asked for a better makeup artist to take the lead on getting us glammed up and ready for the day! I will be the first to admit that I am the WORST at portraying what I want in my look when it comes to makeup but that didn't phase Esha at all. My big thing was that I wanted to look natural and still very me.. as a girl who doesn't wear a ton of makeup every day that can sometimes be a little harder when you get in front of someone who knows makeup only because my idea of "not a lot of makeup" and a professional artist's may not be the exact same interpretation but Esha and I got on the same page from the very start. Esha completely nailed it and brought my whole look together. I would 100% recommend a trial. I did my trial the morning of my bridal shower to see how I liked it, how it held up and what changes I wanted to make. Esha was so wonderful and open to my notes I made at the conclusion of my bridal shower day. I wanted a full to see it all and really pinpoint what I liked and what I would want to see a little differently. For example, I went with certain pictures for the trial and then realized my own ignorance in not understanding what I showed her was more of the smokey eye look.. so looking back on pictures from my bridal shower, my makeup looked incredible but it was too dark for what I wanted as my wedding day look. Following up with Esha was a breeze and I sent her a few more pictures and she instantly got on board with what I wanted.. explaining the difference in the looks I showed her. To me they looked the same until she pointed out what wasn't! The trial was SUPER helpful because I tried the airbrush and a certain lip color but the morning of the wedding I went with HD makeup (because I was LOVING how my bridesmaids were looking) and completely went a different route with lip color. Neither of those changes threw Esha off at all. She worked efficiently and was extremely calm and laid back the entire morning.. the high emotions of the morning didn't fluster her at all. For all my bridesmaids she made sure I told each of them that if they didn't like something, to speak up and she would very happily change it because her main concern was us feeling comfortable in our looks, not being personally offended by someone wanting to change something. From the mothers to bridesmaids, to my young junior bridesmaids and tiny flower girl.. she knew how to do each age and skin complexion without fail. I have to thank Esha for her patience with me because the week of the wedding I had a "panicked bride" moment and she handled it all with poise and reassurance that all was good. It rained on my wedding day (ALL day), there were tears (but she teaches you how to cry and not ruin your makeup, bonus!!) and I sweated my tush off on the dance floor and then continued the party downtown Annapolis and let me tell you this.. my makeup was as flawless at 3:00 in the morning as it was at 12 noon when my look was complete... just as Esha promised it would be! Cannot thank you enough for getting me wedding-day-ready and all 11 of the best women in my life looking and feeling amazing! You've got my recommendation and I look forward to having an excuse to hire you to do my makeup again in the future! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! When the first two words that come out of your groom's mouth when he sees you is "Oh Shit".. you know you're looking drop dead GORGEOUS! Wouldn't have happened without you, Esha!! They were absolutely awesome!! They were so flexible and worked hard at helping us get a play list approved with our church. They were professional in all that they did and in all of our dealings with them. Our guest just loved them. The sound was just awesome at our venue. I highly recommend them to any one. Angie of Honey Do Wedding and Event Planners was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. She was affordable (especially for a student and military wedding) but always made us feel like her number one clients. Not only was she a great value, but she went over and above what we were expecting. We hired her to be our day of coordinator, but we met with her on a regular basis and she always responded to all calls, texts, and emails. Angie is incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and has connections with various other wedding vendors. As a same sex couple, she never treated us any differently than an opposite-sex couple, and she actually was great at recognizing the subtle differences that come with having two brides. At our first meeting at a potential venue, Angie came prepared with examples of her work and binder with all of our info. She even printed out new forms that said bride and bride instead of bride and groom. These small but significant touches are what make Angie stand out among other wedding planners. She helped us negotiate with vendors to get better prices and confirmed all vendors the week of, lifting a lot of the stress off of our shoulders. We can't speak highly enough of Angie and the Honey Do family!

I got married on Saturday to the man of dreams with the decorator of my dreams. I had a rustic/ burlap and lace themed wedding at grey rock mansion. Michele was there for me every step of the way. She went way above and beyond and made my wedding day better than I ever could have imagined. I got compliments on the decor from just about every guest and Michele and her team is 100% to thank for that. Her kind and encouraging words put my mind at ease from start to finish. When we needed someone to step in last minute (after one of the venues fell through) to help coordinate our wedding 13 years ago, Mrs. Jacqueline Johnson was the person we turned to. Mrs. Johnson made sure we had everything we needed from the flowers, seating of guests, music, to even writing and printing our programs! She is the "ultimate" professional coordinator!
Ms. Cash is very professional and gentle with the children. She face painted at an end of the year School Fun Day. Face Painting was a great addition to the event. The children loved their face paint designs. Will hire her again for in the future.
Kimberly and her assistant did a great job. They arrived later then expected due to traffic, but jumped right in with helping to set up for my wedding. They were so helpful with the ceremony and timing of the entire night. I had a DIY wedding and having Kimberly there really helped take some of the stress out of the night! Thanks again Kimberly!!
