FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My bankruptcy fee for consumers is a flat rate that is up front, no hidden costs or surprises. As far as pricing and fees for contract work, lawsuits/litigation service or other legal work, I have an hourly rate but am also pretty flexible in many situations. I can work out payment plans, take cases on contingency (meaning no money up front), and generally try to work with people depending on the details of the case. I can give an estimate or range during the first consultation that is usually fairly accurate. Just ask.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had a strong sense of right and wrong. In my early life, I experienced and witnessed many situations that helped me develop a sensitivity to fairness and justice. That desire for fairness and justice, while maintaining one's integrity and character, led me to a career in law.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Business lawsuits and disputes - contract breaches, partner disputes, real estate litigation, general lawsuits pertaining to situations that arise from business dealings. I have a lot of trial experience and have done jury trials in many civil cases. Last year, I secured a $1.6 million dollar judgment in a copyright infringement case on behalf of my client. Intellectual property law- copyrights, licensing, confidentiality, trademarks, and trade secrets and related litigation. Bankruptcy filings for chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies as well.
