On point and professional. Ed went above our expectations. We had a large concrete slab that needed to be demolished and hauled away. Price was very fair and work was completed on time with no problems.

Delightful Contracting was truly a delight to work with. Ryan was the first of three contractors we met with for our kitchen remodel project—a project we waited nine years for! We told him our vision, and he was very upfront about what was realistic and what wasn’t. He even told us things to look out for when reviewing competitor proposals. By the time he left, we knew he was the one for the job. One contractor came in much too high, and commented our budget would only get us materials. The other contractor was over and hour late for our appointment (he ran out of gas), and extremely slow to respond. That didn’t give us a good feeling. Needless to say, Ryan was awarded the contract! He worked with us on pricing, and gave us the most bang for our buck. He went above and beyond his contractual responsibilities. For example, I couldn’t get off work for a delivery. Ryan was out picking up supplies, but left to meet the vendor at my house for the delivery. On another occasion, he cut down a non-standard door to save us the cost of a special order. Ryan has held our hand during the entire process. He suggested finishes, paint color, accessories, and made himself available via phone for any questions that came up along the way. We felt like we were hiring a trusted friend. For this reason, we had no reservations providing Ryan with keys to our home so he could come and go freely during the day. We are beyond pleased with our remodel project, and highly recommend Ryan based on price, attention to detail, and professionalism.

I had Baiza Construction replace the floor and wall tile in each of our 3 bathrooms a year ago. I waited this long to submit a review just to be sure everything held up nicely. They also did all the plumbing to replace the shower fixtures. Honestly, all I have is good things to say about their crew. First, the price was very fair. Second, he said it would take 5 or 6 full days to finish, and it took them 5 days and just a few hours on the 6th day. The tile work came out perfect. Every day, the guys checked with me to verify any ideas I had, including what pattern I wanted, or exactly how high I wanted the fixtures. They were sure to keep a clean area throughout, and never left a mess overnight. Anyway, I'm very happy with the work that was done, and I would definitely hire them again, and have recommended them to others.

We absolutely loved working with José and his team to tile our basement floor with ceramic wood-looking tile, expose a brick wall, and install new toilet and a wall-mounted sink. He works FAST and within budget. Extra things we needed done were added at very reasonable extra expense ($40-60 to repair an unexpected drywall hole behind a mirror). His team does beautiful work, and José made sure every bit of trash or demo material was taken away. They also went above and beyond to make things look nice. For example, I don't think they charged me extra when they plastered around our baseboards and it looks soooo much better! They also patched a little hole left by a past electrician's job. They took extra good care of our space as if it was their own home. We also like that he respected our desire to further finish our space ourselves ( we are ok with doing our own painting). I can't say enough good things. We will definitely hire José and Brandon Contracting for our next job.

Burch Masonry was a great experience. Dion was knowledgeable, personable, and responsive. He laid out exactly what needed to be done (concrete repair and railing re-set for rowhouse stairs) and followed through with the project at the agreed upon time and on schedule. The bid was very competitive as well.

I just had my concrete steps repaired by Naun and it was a great experience from initial call to job completion. Mr. Flores responded to my online request within the first couple of hours and offered to stop by the same day and take a look at the stairs to better understand the situation. His pricing was very reasonable and advised me of all my options along with his honest recommendation. He did a great job giving a nice look to my front porch concrete steps and the brickwork which was in really bad shape - job well done! I recommend him 100%! Great customer service and very professional!!

Wilson succeeded expectations. We asked for a horizontal cedar fence with a cement retaining wall to keep the fence level in area the ground sloped. The fence is absolutely beautiful. There was attention to detail, area was immaculate after the job. Highly recommend!!!!!

Fred answered my ad in 13 minutes and came the same day to review the projects. He started the next day at 8am on Sunday to begin and finished the same day. Fred, with the help of his crew, were perfect for building me a new concrete front porch and replacing a porch roof board. One word to describe the whole experience and end result is perfect!

After we moved into our newly renovated home, we found out we had a HUGE leak in our basement. The leak was causing mold on the entire basement and dry walls. Our contractor hired someone to do the waterproofing during the renovation however we quickly realized we had to call a professional. We found MJ HOMES SERVICES & FLOOD RESTORATION on the internet. We called about 5 different companies and had MJ HOME SERVICES be the only ones that showed up on time (the same day we called). Their quote was affordable than the other quotes however it was worth every dime. MJ HOMES employees were extremely knowledgeable. They immediately found the issue and started working within 2 days. The work was both internal and external. Workers showed up at 8am and left at 7pm. They were quiet and worked clean. In addition, they had to dig in our basement and replace drywall. We didn't even feel we had construction in the house. The basement is dry and we are extremely happy.

I hired Black Diamond to repair the former icebox in my basement. My home, which is a 1920s rowhome, is a flip. The flippers simply drywalled the walls and tried to play it off like a bonus room. Sure enough, the bonus room is flop - moist, chilly, and utterly different than the rest of the basement. I hired Black Diamond to make the entire basement feel like a more cohesive space and they did exactly that. BD was the fourth contractor that I contracted - I was tired of all the back and forth. BD was straight-forward, fair, and fast. I wanted the work done before Thanksgiving - Not a problem. I wanted an additional area framed out - Not a problem. I wanted a transparent experience - Thankfully, not a problem. The job is done, more than a week before thanksgiving, and my basement looks like one well-thought out space. I would definitely recommend them.

I have used roofing contractors, siding contractors, hvac contractors, gutter contractors, and patio Concrete contractors in the past. They all have similar traits. They are late, they pull workers off my job to work elsewhere, and they don’t finish on time! Not with GAN Construction, they showed up on time and the same crew worked on the project from beginning to end. I contracted GAN to do three concrete jobs, 1) pour a concrete slab for a 12’x12’ shed on a sloping rear yard, 2) pour a concrete walkway from the front of the house to the drive way, and 3) cut a hole in the garage floor and pour a recessed pit to accommodate my lift. Because the concrete slab for the shed is on a slope, they actually poured in a concrete footer and built a cinder block foundation wall to support the slab. The garage job was a bit more complicated. The pit had to meet code to support my lift which is capable of supporting 7000 lbs. Their engineers determined the concrete will need to sit on 5 pillars (3-4 deep below backfill) and the concrete pit itself was built with rebar every 12 inches and wire mesh. The concrete is 12 inches thick! It is not going anywhere! The walk was a piece of cake so I thought. Because the old walk way has settled more than 7 inches in different spots, GAN decided to tie the walk was into the concrete steps with rebar ever 2 feet. The earth was compacted to reduce possible setting in the near future. Over all I am very pleased with the work GAN did. The crew was very professional, kept the work area clean and when they left, it was as if they were never there. I would highly recommend using GAN for your concrete projects! Dr. Al Wong

We hired Bathgate Construction to hardscape our 600 sq. ft. backyard for rat abatement and aesthetics. Brad communicated in a timely manner and the price was fair for the job quoted. We saw him several times during the project, as he came to check in on his team. He recommended a slight modification to add a step into our garage area, which turned out nicely. We live in the city, with very tight space, so the job took a bit more manual labor since they couldn't bring in any real heavy equipment to get the job done faster. One minor irritation is that we were quoted 5 - 6 business days to have the job completed, but in actuality, it took about 12 business days (and a Saturday) for completion. Regardless, his team did a beautiful job on the brick laying, creating a herringbone pattern with soldier border. Overall, I would definitely hire them again and recommend them for their work.

Cristian and Luis were responsive, reliable and hard-working. I had to have a bathroom remodel finished very quickly and they were able to start immediately and completed quickly. Also, the estimate was very reasonable. I had asked for some extra work and they were accommodating and when the total bill came, they were spot on with the actual cost compared to the estimate and the extra work added to the bill was very fair. It’s difficult to find a good dependable handyman that you feel comfortable working with, and I found this in C&L. I already have other projects with which, I will be asking for their services. The work they did for me was drywall and tiling of floor and walls of a full bathroom and extensive drywall repairs in other areas of the home.

Amazing work considering the task at hand. I was hung out to dry by 2 contractors, but KSL came out the following day and installed an entry door that I was told would fit. Well, it didn't...at first. When KSL was done, my parents were amazed and satisfied with the finished product. They came early and left late, but did a heck of a job.

Montes Contractors were excellent. I hired them to build new steps for the English basement of my DC townhouse. They demolished the old steps, which were shallow and crumbling, and custom-built a stairway frame for the new steps, as well as the adjacent wall. The concrete work was very nicely done, and the finished concrete steps are both highly functional and attractive. Best of all, the price was reasonable for the job. Walter Montes is also a pleasure to work with. He communicates well and manages a team of true professionals. My advice is to ask a lot of questions up front as well as during the job. Walter will answer your questions clearly, and will work closely with you to make sure you know what you are getting, and get the result you want. In short: Walter and his team will do a great job for you for a fair price, and your customer service experience will be good throughout. Well worth hiring.
