I met Denise while working for another dog trainer and realized that as soon as I had a dog of my own I wanted her to help me with training. When I adopted my husky puppy I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting into and was prepared to have a long road of training ahead of me. After my first consult and class I knew that I had found the right person to guide me through my dog ownership. Denise has been nothing but knowledgeable, helpful, and wonderful to work with. She is always quick to answer questions and explain training in a way that I understand. Since working with her my husky is off leash trained, lIves peacefully with cats, and is a joy to work with. Denise was always there to encourage me and to be honest with me when I was making mistakes. My husky went from being an unruly puppy to a well behaved member of my family. She is a superior titled weight puller and is on her way to winning rally titles as well. I will continue to use Denise for my dog training needs.
JoJo was such a huge help with training my newly adopted dog and helping her get along with my older dog. My new dog had food aggression issues and would bite my other dog and myself, but JoJo offered many ideas to help and after trial and error with the different options, it finally worked and now both dogs get along great and there has been no aggression! She helped greatly with basic dog training as well. I also learned how to be a leader for my dogs and JoJo provided many leadership skills for me to work on and owns dogs listen so much more. I felt so overwhelmed when I adopted the second dog but JoJo has definitely helped to improve my leadership skills in order to help my dogs.
I fostered a 5 month old Coonhound that was rescued from a neglectful home. She had very little social skills and a slew of medical issues. The immediate issue, after seeing to the medical, was her food aggression because I have two other dogs. After researching and speaking to a few other dog trainers, I chose Gray House Dog Training because Victoria (the trainer) felt each dog she trains is a separate case and she would evaluate her to see what training would best fit the individual dog. The other trainers had a set training system for all cases. She had my insecure, neglected pup sitting on command at her first session! Victoria interacted with and evaluated my pup before she came up with a plan on how to feed her to eliminate the aggression. And it worked! She also worked with her on a structured routine teaching her how to walk on a leash. We learned basic commands as well. Victoria taught me how to continue training on the days she was not here. It was crucial my pup was trained before she was adopted in order for her to make the transition to her forever home successful. Not only did Victoria teach my pup how to live as a part of a family, she taught her acceptance of love and trust. I am happy to say my Coonie is in her forever home happily living with two Coonie sisters! Politely sharing food and love! Victoria played a crucial part of giving this poor pup a second chance for a wonderful life.
Clare Owings is excellent to work with as a dog trainer. Patient, interested in listening, and gives practical advice. She's good with explaining in simple terms, and knows animal behavior very well. We were glad we chose her to work with our dog.
I couldn't be happier with the training that we've received from Social Tailwaggers. Jodie, our trainer. is so patient and very knowledgeable. The first time we met, we discussed what training I was interested in and what goals we were trying to achieve for my dog, Cooper. Cooper was around 10-11 months old when we began our first training session. She immediately began to introduce new skills and commands to work on training Cooper. After each lesson, Jodie sends a detailed email outlining all of the skills we worked on and suggestions to help with practicing on my own. Jodie was also helpful with recommendations on types of toys and feeding bowls to help with the energy level of my dog. I would highly recommend Social Tailwaggers to anyone who needs help training a new puppy or an older dog. It is well worth the time, money and effort to have a well trained dog and not only are you going to have a well trained, better behaved dog, it's also a lot of fun time spent with your dog.
Mr. Haywood and his dog trainers could not be any nicer. Our Wheaten Terrier is much smarter then we thought she was and is listening to us better then we could have imagined. We have also continued to use their services for boarding when we are away. We have been super happy with the results and on going work.
Best deal you'll ever get for a dog trainer. He is gentle, patient and kind. He took great care with our dog and spent lots and lots of time with her. I recommend him to you without any reservations.
This was our first experience with a professional dog trainer. Sharon was very knowledgeable and professional in explaining to us the different types of dog behaviors while explaining at the same time the solutions to correcting bad behavior. Sharon took the time to ensure that we understood the lessons and was more than happy to continue each action until we were comfortable. We are glad that Sharon is available to answer any questions we have. Having a great first time experience with Bark Busters, we would recommend their help to others.
Anthony was a pleasure to work with unlike the first dog trainer I tried who was uptight and took the fun out of the process. Anthony showed up with a smile on his face because as he says, he likes to help families. Anthony is fun, and he made training my puppy enjoyable with his simple, easy-to-remember practical suggestions. My puppy is much better trained now. Anthony is also a bargain compared to other dog trainers. He's easy to recommend.
Hillary has been walking our puppy Chauncey during the week while we are away at work for the past 3-4 weeks. She is great to work with and very trustworthy. Our Chauncey loves her! There is never accidents in the house when we get home and Hillary leaves us notes or text messages letting us know what she did with Chauncey and if he went potty while she was there. She has been working out great and we hope to keep her business for a long time!
I have a 5 year old, 85 pound pit bull/boxer mix named Bella, who is as sweet as they come, but she was a beast on the leash....pulling and choking herself making walks really unpleasant for everyone. We tried many different things with her, but nothing seemed to be working. We had Kristy over for 1 hour for training. She gave us some new tools to work with and some new techniques and literally I was able to walk her within 15 minutes!! She is like a new dog, and we are BOTH loving the walks together. I HIGHLY recommend Kristy for any dog training that you need. She is fantastic!!!
The best dog care and professional in this area. Honest! Accountable, reliable, fair and affordable. Very accommodating and loving of your pet. Have been using her for YEARS.
Spoiled Pawz has been excellent. Caroline has been walking my dog for more than 5 years and he just loves her. She is part of his family and daily routine. I trust her completely with my best buddy.
I was a little nervous about sending my puppy away for puppy camp but Jessica made it so easy. We were in touch multiple times a day, my dog had THE BEST time and came out of it no longer afraid of people and other dogs. At a small gathering of friends the other night, I beamed with pride as my friends described her as just "loving everyone." This is in part because she learned socialization early and it's easier for her to bond and trust (and learn!) Thank you Jessica!
Angie helped us to work with our very young, energetic black lab puppy. She came to our house and also worked to train our family on how to train the dog. She is very kind, caring and knowledgeable! I highly recommend her services!
I will walk your dog on your terms and conditions all for the right price. I have experience in walking dogs, and I am not allergic to any dog breeds. If you don't have time to walk your dog and you need an excellent dog walker, I'm your gal.
I am a Laurel based dog walker and pet sitter. I began this 6 years ago while working as a concierge in downtown Silver Spring, MD. The residents in my building always seemed to need someone to watch their pet on short notice. Since I interacted with pets on a daily basis, I began pet sitting and even taking pets to my home. Thus, a second career was born. I also do personal one-on-one adventures like a 10-mile hike at Great Falls, for example. I come with excellent references and am able to accommodate you 24 hours a day and 7 days a week on just a few hours' notice.
Dog training is more then just a trainer coming in to teach your dog commands. It comes down to the parent too. In my methods you will not only have me teaching your dog positive behavior and commands but also show you the parent how to go about it. You practically train your dog through out the day while your with your furry friend. So don't think of it as a task but more of a lifestyle. As I always say, be one with the dog.
I love all animals and have several in my family. I groom, feed, and walk all pets that are possible to walk. I am loving and very caring for all animals.
