I have gotten a series of guitar lessons from Stevie. The progress I've made is amazing. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere to ask questions and learn to play guitar, Matthews is your guy. He is passionate about music and your ability to get better. I'm very excited to continue to learn more.
Ive been taking guitar lessons from Gregg every other week for the last 6 months. The main reason I decided to seek out private guitar lessons from an instructor, was because I couldnt get into online or DVD guitar lessons which I attempted for several months. Moreover, Im old school when it comes down to music lessons, due to learning the cello through classroom instructor- based lessons from elementary to High School, along with private lessons thereafter. With that being said I can say Ive made one of the best decisions towards enhancing my playing on the guitar by taking lessons with Gregg. When I first started taking lessons from Gregg, he provided an individual plan for me to help with learning scales, technique exercises, licks, and improvisation. He showed me how to make my own melodies on the guitar by using scale/chord relations. He provided the theory behind using various chords with scales which I did not gain from DVD or online guitar learning. He also broke down how much time I should spend on practicing the guitar to get where I want to be. He is very encouraging and will provide feedback to you which will enable you to improve in certain areas. I would like to recommend Gregg for beginner to intermediate players, as well as advanced players who are preparing for gigs. In addition, Gregg cannot practice for you, he can only provide lessons. I try to practice from 30 minutes to 2 hours a day depending on my daily schedule. Gregg is a great teacher, I am already playing with others (bassist and drummer) and using the skills he taught me to improvise my playing.
Morgan is a great guitar teacher, and I learned a huge amount that I was sadly missing. I would recommend him to anyone.
Drum and guitar lessons--prompt, patient, and gave great exercises to use for practice.
Brian was awesome! I had him perform at my wife's 40th birthday party and he was great. He learned a few new songs (in addition to the extensive list he already knows) that my wife and her friends loved when he sang them. He was very accommodating in that he performed his first set outside and then moved inside. I highly recommend him and will hire him for other parties in the future!
I have taken over a years worth of guitar lessons from American Music Studio and will continue taking lessons into the future. Brett in co. cater lessons to your skill level and learning style, encouraging you to push the limits and learn more. The instructors are approachable, motivational, personable and experts in their craft. I cannot express how educational and enlightening my experience with American Music Studio has been.
Teresa is a very talented musician and experienced piano/guitar teacher. She is kind and patient with all of her students and with everyone around her. Her lessons are affordable but also high qualitythey cover music theory, technique, musicianship, repertoire, and even a bit of music history. I have had the pleasure of observing many of her music lessons and taking piano lessons myself. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn piano or guitar.
Mr.Brendan is so great with the kids in choir at Church! He teaches while providing fun times as well. We love you Mr.Brendan! Stacey and Evie Bang
When I started lessons with Larry, I had been taking guitar lessons for three years under a learn by learning songs method. I didnt know exactly what I needed, but I knew that I wanted get deeper into music, both theoretically and in my guitar work. I tend towards a combination approach of intellectual and emotional, and I value doing things well, and seeing its link to the larger picture of music. When I pursued Larry as a teacher, I realized I was taking a next step. What I found in Larry as a teacher and person is an expert in blues music and in how to teach music, particularly guitar. He has piqued my intellectual interest and challenges me to keep learning both the guitar techniques and theory. I didnt know exactly what I was looking for, but this was ita Peabody Institute-quality education mixed with blues experience, theory and then throw in endless stories about music from the sixties onward, because Larry was there. You can read his bio for all of the things hes done, and theyre numerous, but I keep learning more. Most importantly, though, Larry is a great teacher. I trust Larry, and I know he sees something in me. He is a cheerleader-style coach, but an honest one. I know that when Larry tells me that I have potential or talent in a certain area, that hes telling the truth. Hell be just as honest when Im not doing something well, also. Larry has a system that works, and he knows how to teach it and adapt it to my style of learning. My understanding of music, my ear especially, has grown leaps and bounds since taking lessons from himI no longer feel frustrated, like Im missing something. I know that if I continue to practice what he is teaching me, I am going to be an expert at guitar and will perform publicly. Larry is an amazing resource, a wonderful teacher, a composer, and a pretty funny guy. Most importantly hes serious about, and seriously involved with and expert in musiches inspired me and hell inspire you.
My ten year old daughter absolutely loves working with Diane, with whom she has been working for about one year. Her voice has improved tremendously and she is also learning guitar. From a beginner just a few months ago she can now play some pretty cool songs! She always leaves every lesson with a smile. One thing that I really appreciate is that Diane is teaching my daughter the right way to sing so that she will not damage her voice. Whenever we knock on the door to start a lesson, Diane is there with a smile and some amazing energy, and I always know that my daughter will have a great experience with a wonderful role model.
Diego is a natural teacher with a God-given talent. My daughter has only been taking guitar lessons for 4 1/2 months, but I am amazed by her progress and accomplishments. She learns something new each week and walks out of each lesson with a big smile on her face. He is very kind, encouraging and knowledgeable with a fun and diverse repertoire. I highly recommend Diego.
I have known Joanna for over 30 years now, and know that even back then she had a sheer musicality both at guitar and keyboards. Her handling of elementary school students of any grade when teaching, then middle school and older, was always carefully measured, often catering to individual needs in order to bring out or focus musical gifts, or simply to raise the level of a student's appreciation for art. She has kept that measure of regard for students of all ages since she went into non-school teaching. I also would assure anybody who wants to send a younger student to her that if after an appropriate period of time she felt they were not progressing or that music was perhaps not a good fit for them that she would be honest about that to the parents rather than have anybody waste time and resources trying to engage a child with other interests. But her goal has always been, as I have observed, to find a way to engage them in the first place. Results and honesty, as well as musical passion. What more need be said. (Please know that as a professional musician myself that this is as unbiased an opinion as I can possibly render.)
I love my ukulele lessons with Alicia! She is an inspiring and kind teacher who has made me not only a better and more confident musician but a better and happier person as well! I highly recommend her and after weekly lessons for three years, I keep coming back for more, simply because she is a wonderful and lovely person.
Jordan is a great guitar teacher! He's always patient and lets me have a voice in directing lessons to focus on what I am interested in. For each problem I have he always has an exercise or trick in his back pocket. In a couple months time I have really improved on guitar thanks to him.
My name is John Miller, I am 46 years old and have never played a musical insturment in my life, however, I have always wanted to. About 4 months ago I started taking guitar lessons from Dave once a week and it has really been a lot of fun! The best part of working with Dave is he gets you playing songs that you know and like right away, even if you are just a beginner. If you've always wanted to be a "Rock Star" I highly recommend you try taking a guitar lesson from Dave Jacobson.
Great guitar teacher for both children and adults.
Max Kuzmyak is a very knowledgeable musician with a large skill set that is useful in the music industry. He can teach trumpet, guitar, voice, and has extensive theory knowledge as well. He is also well versed in recording and audio engineering. Max is very friendly, easy to work with, and professional. I would highly recommend working with him if you are looking for a private teacher, or a recorder.
Jeff was very professional and great instructor to work with. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an guitar teacher who is great teaching kids.
Michael has been teaching my kids piano and guitar. He is patient and really connects with them. He teaches them current music to keep them interested but he also teaches theory and mechanics. Great experience for my kids.
