FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took my first photography class when I was in my junior year of highschool. I was already interested in the subject and got randomly assigned to it as I entered my second highschool. My first photo assignment went so well that my photo teacher pulled me aside after class and asked if I'd like to do an independent study in photography. I did so for 2 years and when I went to college, it wasnt long until I figured out that photography was what I wanted to major in. And the rest is history!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for a photographer who is going to work with you, not make you feel bad or pressure you into anything. The field can be competitive, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be polite! I would also recommend someone who has an education. Self-taught photographers are not going to be able to deliver the same results as someone who has spent years training in the field and critiquing their own work and the work of others.
