I have worked with Louna on numerous chamber music projects and can attest to her knowledge of both the instrument and its repertoire. I have also taken short-term flute lessons with her, as I was studying it as a second instrument some years ago. During this time she was immensely helpful with basic technique and sound production, and always made our lessons fun and relaxed! I can highly recommend her both as a teacher and performer.

My son, Ian, is having a wonderful experience being taught flute by Laura Kaufman. She brings the best combination of playfulness and seriousness to the lessons. She always has new approaches - and sometimes useful gadgets - to get her message about good embouchure and breathing across. She is encouraging and supportive. I recommend her highly!

I have studied flute with Ms. Allen since 2010. She is a great flutist and an excellent flute teacher. I am working toward going to graduate school in flute performance and through following her guidance, she has helped me to greatly improve my performance skills as well as my knowledge of flute repertoire, music theory and music history in every way. I cannot thank her enough for her help. Eric L.

Amanda is an outstanding teacher. She inspires and challenges me to play pieces I did not think I could play. She is able to take difficult passages and break them down step by step so I can learn how to play them properly. I am sure I would not be playing as I am now, if it weren’t for Amanda’s skilled teaching. She is also friendly, makes the lessons interesting and fun and is very professional.

Most of my students pursue music lessons for to increase their eligibility and scholarships to music programs in college. Other students learn simply for the enjoyment of music. However, all of my students receive training in music theory and ear training too. For those students who are interested, I also offer them opportunities to explore entrepreneurship as a musician.
