I have had a life long aversion to Yoga - from the days of watching my mom do her yoga routines to the mushrooming of Yoga in to multitudes of flavors and being the cool thing to do. Also, bending and stretching my body in to multiple scary looking poses was not my idea of relaxing/workout/finding my inner self/ etc. But having been learned and practiced yoga with Gaurav has completely changed that for me. He is the epitome of what a true yoga instructor/guru should be. He help me confront my prejudices/ fears of yoga with a calm and balanced approach by gently introducing me to the various poses and breathing techniques! He was aware of my limitations and worked with that so that I gradually became comfortable with all the breathing exercises and asanas without heading to the door! Not to say that I did not feel the physical pains of using my body and muscle groups in new ways, but the "high" at the end of each session was worth the effort. I looked forward to my next session at the end of each session! Gaurav is well versed in all the techniques and shares his knowledge in easy to follow steps. I highly recommend him as an instructor especially if you have never done yoga before or are not sure on what the correct techniques are. For the experienced yogis, Gaurav would be a perfect coach to take your training to the next level. His knowledge of food options to go along with the yoga routines was very helpful too!

I have taken Gentle Yoga with Asya at Sun & Moon for years. When I heard that she was offering a more personalized therapeutic class, I jumped at the chance to address my particular problems -- back issues, bad knee, Morton's neuroma in my toes -- all things that made some yoga poses very challenging for me. It was wonderful to have her focus on my issues, and she helped me develop a personal practice to work on these things. Her gentle and encouraging voice, strong knowledge of anatomy, and inventive teaching style made it pleasurable as well as useful.

If I could give her 6 stars I would! I am a tennis teaching professional and my job is very physical. During the last few years I had been experiencing injury after injury which was taking all the enjoyment out of my work. Corey is actually one of my students and she encouraged me to try Yoga with her. I was skeptical at first and thought Yoga was for "other people ". I could not have been more wrong! After one session with Corey I could tell this is exactly what I needed. I have been working with Corey for the last 6 months and I feel 20 years younger! Corey is not only a fantastic Yogini. She is incredibly knowledgeable and well versed in many schools of physical fitness. Like Pilates, Cross Fit, TRX?? She knows it all. Incredibly, her expertise does not stop there. Corey is also a walking repository of nutritional information. Going to Corey is a great value, she just knows so much and is so willing to help! In conclusion, the other thing I like and admire about Corey is that she practices what she preaches. She is in great shape and an athlete herself. As an athlete, that's important to me. I highly recommend you give her a try. You will be glad you did!!

    Selene's yoga session was great. I felt like I learned so much just from one session about how to do each pose correctly and how to modify poses in a beneficial way when you're not totally there yet. Selene's vibe is accepting, warm and encouraging & I didn't feel pressured to do everything perfectly. At the end of our session I felt rejuvinated in mind, body & spirit. Highly recommend!!

    She's wonderful!!! I found her very easy to talk to and work with. She has a great sense of humor too. Elizabeth is very flexible with your schedule. During my first session, she demonstrated and explained each pose. She answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to take yoga.

    I met Gretchen when I was starting my second trimester with a twin pregnancy this past spring. My husband thought private pre-natal yoga sessions would be a perfect way to keep me healthy throughout my pregnancy. Gretchen was amazing to work with! She was friendly, energetic, and had a calming nature. I expected to take 1 session a week with her, but decided to engage in two weekly sessions. I honestly believe that Gretchen is the reason my pregnancy and delivery went so well. After my C-section the doctors told me they had never met a twin mom that was so flexible right after delivery. Gretchen is the reason for that. She not only taught me yoga, she provided mini-massages to help relax my pregnancy aches. She checked in on me regularly if we didn't meet, and she was willing to work with my schedule. She brought the music, equipment, and even recommended better mats to help my practice. I would recommend her to anyone looking for yoga instruction. I will soon be starting post-natal services with her!

      Rooz is a very friendly and engaging instructor. He did a community class for me and 10 of my friends on the rooftop of my building. He was very mindful to ask about any injuries or conditions before practice in order to offer adjustments and variations and he also asked if there were specific parts of the body that we'd like to focus our practice on. His music was on point and he offered different versions of many poses for those who wanted more or less of a challenge. I would highly recommend Rooz again!

      As someone with chronic back pain and a high stress job I cant say enough good things about my private yoga sessions. Valerie's deep knowledge of kinetics, mindfulness, and anatomy have been invaluable in my learning to deal with chronic pain and how to live alongside of it instead of retreating in fear of it. I have had increases in flexibility, awareness and mindfulness since beginning the class and look forward to learning more weekly. Valerie's intuitiveness and willingness to share her knowledge allows us to explore many topics in class while still expanding upon the breadth of the practice. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about yoga, but especially those that may be intimidated by a class or for safety reasons need a more watchful eye.
