Mr. Flores-Gifted Hands was straight forward and did a very good job installing the kitchen faucet. I would recommend him for the quality of his work, professionalism, responsiveness and value.
RB Contractor Inc. finished our basement project that included drywall finishing, shower installation, bathroom flooring and wall reconstruction. Remberto and his team did a tremendous job of finishing the drywall, taping, mudding and sanding. The team also custom built our shower with tile and put in the tile flooring as well. The completed job far exceeds our expectations and Remberto and his team were professional, timely and did an amazing job. We highly recommend this company for any basement remodeling/finishing.
John was flexible with meeting me for service on my rental. He did some bathroom and tile work and some smaller projects. I would definitely use him again.
Ryan was hired to install ceramic tile for my guest bathroom. Not only did he arrive the same day I requested a quote, he was able to start the job almost immediately and finish the same day. My wife and I were so impressed that we are looking to hire him for more projects. Outstanding service at a reasonable price.
Jenrri was a pleasure to work with! He removed a granite backsplash and installed tile for our kitchen backsplash and front of our kitchen island. Jenrri was communicative throughout the process and professional. We’re 100% happy with his work and the process (and we’re annoyingly particular people!).
Jerry was great to work with - he was prompt and did a great job installing a shower grab bar without damaging my ceramic tile, and several smoke detectors. He left the job very tidy and sent me photos of the finished work. I would definitely hire his company again!
Patrick recently cleaned the gutters and painted the eaves on the house. Everything looks good. He also did work for me in the past like inside painting and tile work. He does great work.
I hired Brandon Contractor to installed a backsplash in my kitchen and he did a great job. He came out in hours after our first contact and gave me a reasonable quote, I knew immediately that I would hire him. He and his crew came to my house two days later and did a superb job. My rack in my laundry room fell down the day before he arrived. Once he came to my house I showed him my mayhem and he said don't worry I'll fix it today. Brandon Contractors are a must hire for the job. Thank you and I will be calling him again....🤗
We needed them to tear up and replace the tile in our bathroom and are extremely happy with the results. We're already planning to use them for a future project.
Paul Langway and his team completed four jobs for us in three days- installing laminate kitchen tile, putting up a new shed door, removing and replacing rotting wood around a large window, and installing a ceiling light fixture. They were a very efficient team and paid close attention to detail, putting in long hours one day to finish the shed, even while it was dark out. The shed door especially looks amazing- better than the original, which was rotting at the bottom. Paul's flooring specialist is great. They took care of purchasing all of the materials and we refunded them at the end of the project. We felt completely comfortable having him and his team in and out of our home over the course of three days, and will be contacting him in the future for other projects.
Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.
Within a week of Sandy and Jeff coming to my house to see what I wanted to have repaired/replaced, they were back with workers to get the job done. The back inside and storm doors were replaced--they found rotted wood when they removed the old doors and fixed that area; they replaced the kitchen ceiling tiles, replaced a coat closet bi-fold door. I am very impressed with the promptness of their response, their completion of the job and very satisfied with their professionalism and how well the job was done. I plan to continue using SRO, Inc. for other repairs and work I need done in my home.
I needed the master bathroom tub hardware (hot/cold water handles and shower head) to be changed out to new ones. Samantha and her Brother were very professional and also suggested that it may be good to add shut off valves to the pipes behind the tub so we wouldn't have to shut off the water in the entire house. I agreed and we added that to the scope of work. It took 4 hours including the trip to Home Depot (for the parts that were needed). All in all...great experience.
Mr. Calderon completed everything on my to-do list in a timely manner; painting, repairing gouges in our baseboards, attaching new shower fixtures. We were very pleased with his work and will use his services again when needed.
"Wow", would describe the work by GWS. I begin with their promptness-they said they'd be at my house at 7:30am, they were knocking at 7:20am. Second, their quickness-I was promised a 2-day job, the entire 13x14 dining room was tiled and grouted in 1 day! Lastly, their attention to detail-they were able to evenly match the new tile with the existing tile in the adjoining room, despite roadblocks that popped up. I would definitely use them again. Pride in their work results in customer satisfaction!
It was an absolute pleasure working with Daniel and his crew! They completed the job on the timeline he said it would take for him to do the job and he even did additional things for me! I was so thrilled at how meticulous and clean he was when working! The paint job he did on 3 rooms was impeccable and I love it! The tile job in the bathroom looks so beautiful it's like I have a brand new bathroom! I am so greatful that I hired Daniel and I look so forward to working with him again on other projects that I have. Definitely he is above a 5 Star Raiting and you will be thrilled with his work when you hire him! Thank You Dan!
HIRE HIM, Hire Him, Hire him!!! I have worked with countless handymen/contractors and I can say this is the absolute first time I've ever had a handyman/contractor who I was 100% happy/satisfied with: the quality of work, professionalism, responsiveness, value, punctuality and did I mention Quality of Work! The project covered painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, carpet installation and outdoor fence repair with an outcome that far exceeded my expectations. His work ethic was truly phenomenal...from the time he arrived until the time he left he never stopped working (except for a lunch break, which he didn't take each day, and 10 minutes at the most, in his truck. He worked quickly, quietly, proficiently, and accurately. The quality of work is top-notch. I have already recommended him to numerous individuals and will contact him each time I have a project...he has earned my business and referrals for life! In closing, all I can say is...HIRE HIM, Hire Him, Hire him!
Winthorpe Design and Build renovated our kitchen, bathroom, living room and family room and they did an excellent job. Scott and his team are totally professional. They designed, purchased and installed tile flooring, tiles walls, concrete counter tops and fixtures. Dave helped us solve a problem with a door and window that were leaking into the kitchen and living room. Krag designed everything and helped us select the tiles, counters, fixtures and everything we needed. Most importantly, they worked well with us as a family, making it as convenient as possible for us. I strongly recommend Winthorpe Design and Build Joan Washington D.C.
IIir and associate came at 10 AM on a Sunday and worked straight through till 3 PM. Professional, excellent job and a very good value compared to other tile contractors. Give them a call.
FP Home Improvement did a wonderful job on our bathroom renovation! We hired Fausto and his team to complete the conversion of a tub into a custom walk-in shower. Not only did he do a beautiful job with the tile and fixtures, he also corrected several issues from prior work, such as releveling the floor. He was professional and very tidy. He was communicative and showed up when he said he would. As a bonus, he was able to complete the work in only a week! It is clear that he takes pride in his work and is committed to getting the job done right.
It was a pleasure working with John. He refinished the cabinets in our kitchen, added a tile backsplash and put down ceramic tile on the floor. He also installed wood molding and floor thresholds throughout the upstairs level and stained it to match our wood flooring. Everyone that visits loves our kitchen and wood molding throughout! I will definitely use John again for future projects.
