FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For Officiating Services, pricing is fairly straight forward and addressed during the initial communications with couple. The fee quoted is your TOTAL FEE due with no additional add-on charges. Late fees may apply when ceremony starts later than 'booked' due to venue delays or tardiness of the wedding party.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always open to learning any cultural rituals or traditions that are incorporated into wedding ceremonies.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I officiate ceremonies in venues throughout Maryland, from historic mansions to vineyards to large venue locations such as Martins or large Hotel venues. Most clients are seeking an officiant willing to allow them to customize their ceremony so that it reflects their personal vision and /or beliefs. Many couples I work with are not affiliated on a regular basis with a faith based institution; however I also have couples that do regularly attend a house of worship, but the pastor/minister is unavailable or unable to officiate at the couples chosen venue or on the chosen date. Also, many ministers who are employed by major denominational faith-based institutions are unable, due to 'policy', to officiate a wedding or marriage ceremony outside of the 'house of worship'. I also officiate many elopements for couples having more intimate setting ceremonies, such as in their home or backyard or at a local park with just immediate family and few close friends. Park ceremonies have no 'set-up' of chairs, decorations, dj's etc (though some at-home weddings may have these things). I have also officiated ceremonies on yachts, in museums and libraries.
