I've been training with Elin for about 2 months now and hands down he's the best trainer I've ever used. His teaching principle is based on building a strong foundation and from these core movements to gradually move on to more advance techniques and forms of training. Needless to say this is exactly what I was looking for as I have had other trainers who only encouraged me to lift heavy weights even when I clearly explained that I had no experience exercising (let alone weight lifting). It's a miracle I didn't injure myself. From the first work out on Ive been completely confident in the things I'm doing and never once felt like I was being given more than I could handle; however this by no means states that he's going to go easy on you. If you're a newbie its critical you facilitate perfect form and not build bad habits, by choosing Elin I guarantee you'll have that and so much more. I work full time but still manage to commute 4 hours round trip on bus and metro to attend my Saturday sessions and will happily continue to do so. Elin you're awesome!!!
Robert Armstrong is a terrific personal trainer-- knows when to push and when to back off! He works well with all types of people -- male/female, young/old! Will help you loose weight and/or get fit. He is especially good with middle school/high school age kids who want to improve their athletic performance or begin a weight lifting regimen. Of the 5 boys in my 15 year old's work out group -- 3 are committed to college programs and 1 is playing D3 football. A fourth just earned best football work ethic award for his high school.
Shawn is great!!! He arrived early, was very, very professional. He had the latest equipment and started off with weight, BMI, body fat, measurements, etc. Having trained for years in Miami, I always had excellent trainers and since living here this hasn't been the case, that is until I met Shawn. Agnese is a great personal trainer! My wife and I have been training with her since April of this year (once a week). We have had weight loss, increased muscle and a stronger core. Janet was my trainer for over a year. I learned so much about weight training and the importance of eating more protein. The weight training even helped my osteoporosis. My dexa scan and doctor confirmed it ! I learned that even a size 2 woman needs to to work hard to stay fit and strong.
I discovered Jenise through thumbtack and by reading reviews about her. I had been seeking for a personal trainer. After my initial consultation, I knew that she was the trainer for me. To give an overview of my fitness level: I am 26. I am a non-athlete. Actually, I’m pretty uncoordinated and clumsy and have never regularly exercised before. I love yoga but I also never got into doing it regularly enough. Its rare to get the motivation for me to get up and go to the gym which is why I chose to seek a personal trainer that can come to me and give me an individualized service. When I contacted Jenise, she offered for a consultation and to see my goals and ultimately see if my schedule will fit in with hers. I should have worn appropriate clothing at that time to do a fitness assessment… nevertheless, after booking she came to me for the assessment, measurements, and weigh-in. We completed 12 sessions in a 1 month period. Just like learning a new skill or a language or an insurance for a healthier life in the future— every penny is worth it. If I could afford it, I would for sure continue working out with Jenise 3 times a week all my life!! But this has been a really great stepping stone to a STRONGER me. The workouts as other reviews mention are different each time although during every session you focus on different parts of the body. Usually you do one session focusing on lower body, one on upper body and one focusing on the core. She makes sure that your workout is high-intensity and always adds new moves or gadgets to the workouts to make it fun. Boxing, resistance training outside in the neighborhood, when the weather is nice, were some of the highlights for me. Even though, I liked the convenience of her coming to me.. I also liked going to her location at the end of the week to top off my workout and get the MOST out of my weekly workouts. Her gym has all the equipment needed to kick butt. She really understands the anatomy and where your weaknesses lie as a unique individual. She builds your workouts according to these and changes the number of repetitions or the amount of weight as necessary during the workout. She watches you closely on your form and ensures you get the most out of every exercise. I personally never liked working out because I never knew how to. I knew I had terrible form and didn’t know how to fix it. Jenise became a teacher to me and showed me how to properly lift. She also always reminded me to breathe when I exerted energy (I tend to hold my breath when I lift .. its no bueno!) Now I see that I have made progress and I have learned proper form, I am keen to continue with it. My 12 sessions came to an end last week. I would 100% renew more sessions with Jenise if it weren’t for my mother looking to join a gym with me. Right now, my finances and time aren’t allowing me to afford both, but I know for certain Jenise and I will be training again in the future. I can tell she has made a STRONGER me and I don’t want to lose any of what I have worked for this past month! If you are hesitant, I get that. Truly. But give it a shot. Jenise is wonderful. Trust her, she knows exactly what you need. I'm so glad I trusted her on this journey. I highly recommend CW3 to everyone!
I have been working out with Denise for just over 2 years. She is very knowledgeable about fitness training ~ whether it is using machines or "boot camp" type regimens using body weight, kettle bells, dumb bells, resistance bands or resistance balls. She also has good nutritional information to go along with the workouts as well. If you can't make it to the gym, she will come to you....
I'm impressed with the level of fitness, stamina and weight loss I achieved working under Stacey Roach! Loved the fast paced routines that allowed me to sweat and burn calories - that's my goal. She also helped me modify certain exercises (because I have knee issues) to suit my physical restrictions. Very creative in her exercise routines and focuses on technique, time efficiency, mixing up different exercises, and that helps to keep the level of enthusiasm and a desire to work out - that's what I was looking for! What I really liked about working under Stacey is that she is very friendly, offers advice on diet and fitness, and helps to find alternatives. "The right balance of cardio, weights and nutrition will do it" as she says! I'm excited and I'll be returning after my short vacation overseas!
I love Gee! Not only did she help me get back to my pre baby weight, but also a body I've never seen before training with her. Plus she's so funny! I hated working out but I knew I had to do something. She's so fun and keeps the workouts interesting plus she pushes you like no other, I fell in love with the gym. Me. Yes me. I have trained with Tim on and off for the past 5 years. He has helped me to reach the various goals I set for myself over the years . . . from increasing fitness level, losing weight, shaping my body and overcoming and preventing injury. He has always been professional, supportive and very motivating. I met Tim shortly after having my son and my goal was to return to pre-baby shape and fitness level. Tim helped me to meet the pre-baby shape goal and exceeded the fitness level goal I had set. The workouts were always challenging and motivating. Tim and I usually met twice a week for 30 minutes of high intensity interval training (I would warm up and cool down on my own). At this point my cardio endurance was low and he really helped me to increase it. After meeting my goal I was able to maintain our progress on my own at the gym using the knowledge I gained from my sessions with Tim. Two years later, I realized I was slipping on my own (I love to eat and drink red wine!) and contacted Tim to regain the shape and fitness level we had previously established. Tim assessed my fitness level and created workouts that met my needs. Tim is great at identifying areas of weakness and tailoring exercises to strengthen those areas. Our workouts were typically 30 minutes, twice a week. This time, Tim began incorporating a lot more weight training. After several months of working with Tim, I once again exceeded my goals and I was stronger and more fit than I had ever been. I was able to go back to working out on my own, using the workouts and information I had gained from him, and maintain my fitness level. I frequently have people commenting about the exercises I am doing in the gym . . . they are impressed and want to use them! When I returned to Body Pump, the instructor also commented on how my strength had increased! Just last year I contacted Tim again. After several injuries (not from working out) and ongoing treatment and physical therapy, I was very frustrated with my body. Tim listened, in detail, as I explained my injuries and the problems/pain I was having trying to workout on my own and participate in classes at the gym. Based on what he heard and saw me doing he created workouts that helped to correct improper techniques I was using (due to injury) and strengthen muscles to help prevent further injury. After working with a physical therapist 3 times a week for many months, I did not see any improvement. After working with Tim 2-3 times a week for just a few weeks, I saw huge improvement! Currently, Tim has once again helped me to reach my highest fitness level yet.
Training with Michael has been a great experience. From mapping out goals to working through sessions, he has kept me motived since the beginning! Having my right hip scoped back in 2014, I had been hesitant in getting back to doing certain exercises (squats, leg press, knee-ups, etc..) that would aggravate my hip. Michael worked on what I felt was comfortable in the beginning. He introduced stretches that opened up the hip joints. Focused on proper form (which is exactly what I had wanted to learn) when weight lifting. Within two months; I was able to deadlift, squat, and do jumping lunges without having hip issues. I'm very satisfied with my results after working with Michael, I plan to keep working with him in the future. -Altan A.
To put it succinctly for those that don’t want to read this whole review..... Julian, as my personal trainer, is phenomenal! He is super knowledgeable, well trained, educated, I would say an expert about training the body to get the results you want. He has a great energy, enthusiasm, and passion for getting you in the best shape you can be! I can't recommend him highly enough. I chose to work with Julian, personal trainer and owner of Prepare for Performance, cause he listened to what my goals were and his approach to over all strengthening fit with me. I love how he mixes up the workouts always focus on engaging my core in everything we do. I have never really exercised or been into fitness because weight was never an issue, until I hit my mid 40s. Feeling really fatigued, bad posture, headaches, gravity.... Working with Julian is so important to me because able to judge my abilities and push them just the right amount. He plans the workout so that I'm pushing my limits every session. While I whine and complain he gets me through it. Even with all the technology, YouTube ect...these are not workouts I could do on my own. Every session is different, challenging, and feels wholly customized so I may reach my goals. Working out with Julian may be my best decision of the year. My posture is so much improved, I have upper body strength *for the first time in my life*, I am able to do things I would never have done before and feel great (while I am still not thrilled with how I look,there are improvements, I actually will take my shirt off and swim. god, I missed swimming!) Working out is still hard and something I would never do if it were not for Julian. He is fun, engaging, smart, and a “hard a#$” when he needs to be. If you are wanting to feel better about yourself, feel stronger, happier, and joining the gym just does not do it for you...Julian will get you into shape!!

Training with Annie has been awesome! I was always active but could never seem to lose the weight. I signed up for the training and nutrition package and within 3 months I went from 32% body fat to 23%!! 9%!!! Annie has helped me to focuse my nutrition into a easy to follow routine that I can stick to during the work week. She has also helped point out my triggers for snaking and given me healthy options to combat that! Thanks Annie!!
12 weeks seemed like a long time and nearly impossible after having my first child. Now I’m on my 10th week and I feel totally transformed/renewed and still loving it. When I first reached out to Damien for training I was underweight and had not worked out in over a year. Therefore, my fitness goals were to gain healthy weight (lean muscle) while staying toned. Damien’s training approach was personalized to my goals and not a “one-size fits all” approach to fitness. Training with Damien helped me build a solid foundation to start my journey in bodybuilding. I was very impressed and pleased with my results within a year and a half of training with him and highly recommend him. My track record proves what he is about. 2015 Men's Open Bodybuilding Light heavyweight 4th place out of 11. 2016 off season with Rob he out 20lbs of muscle on my frame and got me to jump up a weight class in 2016 Bodybuilding. 1st place Heavyweight 2nd place overall. Current off season right now put on 12lbs of muscle in 2 months.. Rob is extremely punctual and responsive. Very knowledgeable and extremly kind. Rob knows so much about the human body and can take you to whatever goals you might have. I highly advise you to give it a try.
Working with Steve has been awesome. He's local, professional, affordable, and keeps my workout and weight loss process on track. I really appreciate how he combines a supportive attitude with physically pushing you to do your best (which is often more than you thought you could do). I've been amazed that while I typically dread workouts, I'm always looking forward to my next session with Steve and plan on sticking with it well into the future.
