Gonzo was as awesome teacher.Jul 21, 2018Verified
Gonzo came in and saved the day. The last thing on our wedding checklist was dancing lessons. We procrastinated. He came quickly and took a couple hours and choreographed with style a father/daughter dance & a bride/groom dance. He made everyone at ease. The dances turned out beautifully. Thanks Gonzo!Aug 20, 2017Verified
Gonzo was great! He took time out to really get to know us, so that he could cater our lessons toward us and our experiences. He's professional, honest, and straightforward. We were very happy with what was choreographed. I highly recommend Gonzo to anyone.Oct 20, 2016Verified
We loved Gonzalo! He was friendly and funny and easy to work with. He assessed where we were to start and tailored his lessons to build on that. He was great at explaining concepts in different ways and showing us what he meant, working with each of us separately (he can both lead and follow with ease!) We met about once a week for about six months, in our home. The last couple weeks we met at our outdoor wedding venue and danced on the patio that would serve as our dance floor. We'll miss seeing him regularly! Everyone loved our first dance, and our second dance (a "flash mob" with our wedding party and friends) and Gonzalo was a big part of that success. Highly recommend!Jun 22, 2017Verified

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I always seek to improve myself with lessons from teachers of various fields relating to movement and art. So I am knowledgeable about almost all aspects of how people think and see themselves in move across space. I have become an expert at walking with good posture and poise. We take these three for granted so studying them is a must if you want to dance well
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I love the feeling I have when I am lost in the moment and I am moving with the music. So as early as I can remember I wanted to dance. Teaching dance was just another way to keep dancing as much of time as possible. I have never had any other full time job.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I have trained dancers from all walks of life. I teach children and senior citizens and everyone in between and at all skill levels, from the most novices to professionals. I have not met anyone that could not learn to dance no matter how clumsy they felt at the start because they all respond well to the positive reinforcement I am able to convey.
