FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Session fees include the following: • Gallery of images • Access to client closet (maternity sessions) or accessories library (newborn sessions) • Session Guide; What to Expect • Custom Mobile App (By Request) • Roundtrip Travel Within 15 miles of 20816 • Print and product credit • Optional Photo Gifts and Announcement Cards Available for Purchase
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I receive an inquiry, I like to either hop on a super quick call or exchange a few emails to get a feel for the type of session the client would like (i.e. casual vs formal, on-location vs in-home.) Once the client is ready to book, I send a questionnaire to gather some information. After completing the questionnaire, the client will automatically be forwarded to a photography session agreement, and then to their invoice. All items must be completed for booking to be confirmed. After booking, I send a session prep guide which outlines tips and tricks for having a successful session. I also set up a quick video chat to discuss wardrobe and determine the best location for their session. I take into account things like driving distance, my clients personal schedules (i.e. some locations work better at sunrise or sunset, but I make sure it agrees with their own schedules), and also the general aesthetic of my clients. For maternity sessions, I also send access to images of the dresses in my client closet. The day of the shoot, we typically shoot for 45 min for maternity sessions, about an hour for family sessions, and about 1 hours for newborn sessions. If the client is borrowing one of my maternity gowns, we start 15 minutes earlier so they can change in my changing tent. After the session, I edit the photos, and deliver them within 3 weeks via a password protected online gallery. The client is then able to download their images as well as place orders for prints or products directly from the gallery.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at Parsons School of Design in NYC and also at The Photographer's Gallery in London. I was a hobby photographer for ten years, then worked as a freelance photographer for two years, before launching my current business in February of 2019.
