Introduction: I have played the violin and viola for over 15 years and over the course of my 6 years of teaching, I have taught over 30 students on both violin and viola. I usually work with children or teenagers and I can teach someone who has never played an instrument before as well as intermediate players. I teach violin and viola lessons and due to Coronavirus I will be observing social distancing and proper face coverings during lessons to keep everyone safe while learning music. I usually start my students on the Suzuki books and some rhythm training and technical exercises for them to have a well-rounded musical education. For complete beginners, I focus a lot on learning the correct positioning of the violin. I am a very experienced musician. I have been trained by musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra and National Philharmonic. I played violin for 8 years before switching to the viola as my main instrument. I still play both instruments regularly and I participate in an orchestra and do chamber music. I have references available upon request. I love to teach people music because having a musical hobby helps with creativity and can be a lifelong hobby, as opposed to sports. Classical music is a beautiful art that not many people have the privilege to learn and experience so I would like to use my experience to teach others.
