Wonderful experience. Came quicker than expected to do the job and also educated me on proper use of the garbage disposal. will definitely recommend.
I cannot thank him enough! He gave an offer to my job and came very quickly to the site. Upon arriving to my house he quickly noticed an issue with the size of the garbage disposal being bigger than the last, worked around it, and made a fantastic installation. I could not be any more happy and now I have a "plumbing guy" because of his professionalism, honesty and ability to do great work!
Stavo did an outstanding job of replacing my kitchen faucet, installing my new smoke detector, and fixing my garage disposal. I thought it needed to be replaced; however, Stavo found that there was a penny in it that was causing the issue. He cleaned it out, and I now have a perfectly working garage disposal. I will call him from now on for anything I need a Handyman for in the future.
Ryan was great! He was accommodating to my difficult schedule, kept in communication, and arrived on time. Not only did he do a great job installing a new garbage disposal but he pointed out where poor work had been done previously and remedied the situation. I could not be more satisfied and would recommend him to all!
I decided to go with Tony because his quote was very detailed and he attached pictures of past jobs. Even though he came 30 minutes late, he was able to complete the job just in time. I was very happy with the results and his professionalism. He took care of the TV and was careful of picking up any garbage left behind. I recommend him and will definitely hire him again.
He gave me a great price quote to replace my garbage disposal. The job to longer than expected but he completed and extremely with the job done. Since the fix took longer than expected I asked if it would cost more. He kept the price as quoted. I paid him a little bit more anyway due to the great service and the additional time he worked to complete the job. I have a few more projects that I will contact Handyman Muti-Services to complete in the future.
I had a hard time finding someone via Thumbtack who would come out in the evening. Gios Builders worked with my schedule and price range and he was really helpful and showed us exactly what was wrong with the garbage disposal. I would use this service again.
Working with Edward was a great experience he was fast and very knowledgeable. He was able to come in and replace my garbage disposal and provide tips on how to make it last. Also as a side note he was able to take a look at my washing machine and clear a clog. Thank you for all your help till the next project.
Great job on garbage disposal. Fast and cleaned up area when complete.
Bill came to install a pet door for us. He was polite, extremely efficient, and brought a dropcloth to make sure his work didn't get any dust on our carpet or flooring. This was our first experience using Thumbtack, and we were extremely pleased.
Over the last 10 months of a never ending kitchen restoration, my DH and I have interacted with many contractors, vendors and repair people. Some of those experiences have been so God awful that I just wanted to go sit in the corner of a room and stare off into space from the shock. Not in this case. Our yard became a wasteland of debris and horrifying garbage after 1. storing our kitchen goods and wares outside in a tent. 2. The workers we had redoing our kitchen were constantly throwing their supplies/trash/detritus outside. 3. A rainy, mild winter resulted in many sopping wet pieces of cardboard, tarps, etc. 4. The final kicker was the last Winter snowstorm a few weeks back. Lost a lot of supplies and belongings to melting snow that turned into pure ice and than ruined things in the melt. So this was not an easy, nice or organized job to do. Basically our yard looked liked a ruined base camp after a Mount Everest collapse combined with a post apocalyptic backdrop for a Zombie movie. That was before the Junk Unlimited crew showed up today. I only give high praise once in a blue moon. It is well deserved here. Fast, super polite and very organized work. Something that could have been fraught with stress, was actually a happy experience. Very reasonable rates too. It is so nice to find total professionals who do a job well and leave people smiling when they're done. I would give 10 stars if I could.
Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.
Juan and his team did such an amazing job, we cannot stop looking at the floor they tiled. First, they tore up our own horrible attempt at tiling. They were also very nice and even took garbage from a separate project. Very reasonably priced- we highly recommend.
He removed my old garbage disposal, replaced my pipes and cut off the electric supply. He was very kind, professional and efficient. I would hire him again.
They cleaned my fridge and oven, cleaned the mirrors, emptied trash cans, made a very cute stuffed animal display for my 5 year old son in his room. He was thrilled.
We hired Tony to fix a very clogged garbage disposal. He came in, did the work, and offer d suggestions as to keep the problem from happening again. Very pleased with his work and the price!
Professional and courteous service. Price for garbage disposal installation was very reasonable.
My experience was great with Get Rid of It. Showed up during the stated time, picked up the stuff and was done. Crew was professional and pleasant. I will definitely use them again.
Tony and company did a great job installing backboard, tile, and a door in my shower. They also saved me a few bucks by glazing the shower pan which turned out great. They repaired two leaking toilets, corrected a plumbing issue with the dishwasher and garbage disposal, and replaced broken floor tile in the kitchen. All repairs done to satisfaction.
Highly recommend. Replaced my garbage disposal for a great price. My to go to guy from now on
Chris is very kind man. He made two trips to our house, the first to diagnose and then he returned the next day (Sunday) to complete the repair. I was very grateful that he was able to work with our schedule and he was easy to talk to. Chris was thorough with replacing the garbage disposal. He also keeps his prices very reasonable and fair. I plan on keeping his contact information for future projects 😊
