William Knopf, of Tamarack Images, was very professional and he arrived early to set up and stayed through the end of the event. He was unobtrusive and took many good photographs of the people in attendance. He provided the finished photos in a very timely manner and we were very satisfied with the photographs he took at my wife's retirement party.
Sean is an expert in his field. He takes his time to ensure his client is feeling comfortable and has a keen eye for angle and light which, coupled with his photography and editing skills, produce photos of the highest quality. Hire Sean; you won't regret it.
I hired Leslie to do a photo shoot of a company meeting I was hosting in Washington DC. Leslie was great. She was very easy to communicate with in advance - I was coming to an event from out of town and she made it really easy to work with her. She captured great moments and photos turn out really well. She also does a same day delivery of key shots and then had 100s of the event photos edited and ready for me within a week! I recommend Leslie for event photography and will use her if my company is in DC area again.
I've known Brian for many years and one of the first things I learned about him was his love for photography. He is very talented with his camera and produces very high quality photographs. He knows what backgrounds and lightings are optimal and is very good with photo-editing software as well. He has taken pictures for me on multiple occasions, most notably while we were studying abroad and for my college graduation. These prints turned out beautifully and remain great memories.
Fiorella is GREAT! She took awesome creative pictures of my cat. The turnaround time was only a couple of days and I got all the photos from the session in addition to the ones she modified in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Whole Lot Of Bunk did a great job documenting an art opening. She was arrived early to review the lighting conditions of the gallery. After the opening, I received my images the next day. The quality of the images surpassed the price I paid. I hired because of her fine art background and it shows through her images.
Bruce did a fantastic job shooting my new headshots! He made me feel very comfortable & took the time to listen to what I wanted with my new photos. He had a quick turn around with editing & made sure that my headshots looked like me. All in all, it was a great experience.
I have worked with John Coppola for over 20 years. He is the consummate professional. Never once has he given anything but his very best performance. Creative, meticulous, knowledgeable, skilled, intelligent and eager to deliver exactly what the client wants, John follows through to the end, alert to every detail. While we collaborate in the music arena, I have closely followed John's photography work and his business related to the printed image. His shots are artistic and truly breathtaking. He has worked in both music and photography for several decades and both are his passions. He is likeable and especially easy to consult with as he focuses intently on the project at hand. He responds quickly to any communication and finishes on time, every time. He is truly in a class by himself. If you hire John Coppola, you got it right.
I would highly recommend Nate. It was a great experience and his images captured our family beautifully.
In hired Jen for her Bumps to Bellies package and have been so pleased. She is responsive, professional and easy to work with. It also helps that her images are gorgeous and she has captured such tender sweet moments. I enjoyed working with her so much I’ve referred her to two friends with babies.
When I needed a professional "head shot" to use in a national area, I sought out Sarah. She made the session painless (even though I do not like to have my picture taken) and the results were amazing! I truly have the best photo ever taken of me now and Sarah is the one to be thanked for that! If I can ever get my family together here in the area, I will ask her if she is up to that challenge!
Being that we are new to the east coast, Sheila helped us choose the photo shoot location that included the scenery we desired for our backdrop. Roosevelt Island offered everything we had hoped for and more! Sheila arrived at the location prior to our shoot. She even advised us as to where to park and actually helped us find a spot! We had expected the shoot to last about 1.5 hours and that's about all it took. I felt that she was very conscientious and respectful of our time while making sure we got to all the spots in the park that we wanted to see. Sheila's easing going personality allowed us to feel at ease, resulting in her capturing our true essence! (no fake or strained smiles). Our pictures turned out fabulous! Additionally, during the proofing/editing process, Sheila was very responsive and professional. I had my edited proofs within a week! I was hoping to get my pictures before the holidays and with such time constraints, I didn't think it would be possible. Sheila made it possible not only with her expedient editing turn-around time, but by rushing the final printing process. Once I paid for my pictures, I had them in 2-3 days. I was very impressed with the quality of the final product. I'm not a very easy sell either! We will certainly employ Sheila's professional services for all our photographic needs. We highly recommend Mrs. Guevin.
I needed to have a Master's level paper edited and I am not so great at editing my own material. The editor from Mighty Oaks did a great job: he was professional, accurate, and a good communicator. I highly recommend Mighty Oaks Tutoring for large writing projects at advanced levels.
Solid 4.5 star rating. I've gotten Tommy to work with me in a handful of settings for photography and videography, my favorite of which was probably the Cherry Blossom Festival in the District. Tommy was very patient with me and made me feel at ease while I was slow to come out of my shell. Over a span of 1.5-2 hours while battling tourists for prime photo ops and chasing the golden hour, we probably had a couple dozen solid frames--I was extremely pleased. He was very quick to edit all of my photos and even slipped me a few sneak peeks during the process! I would and have recommended him to friends and family.
Our experience with David Ehsan was good; we had family pictures taken on a special occasion and the digital prints came out well. Even though we were only scheduled for an hour, he stayed longer and took some more shots of us outdoors as well. The turn around time for the editing was also very fast and he was able to deliver the photo CD to us very fast which we appreciated a lot. The family pics were taken for my dad's birthdya, and David also did a special print of my parents for the occasion when he gave us the CD which was also really nice of him. He is very polite and sincere and we definitely recommend him!
We had never had a professional photo shoot before. But Valerie made it an easy and fun experience. She did a wonderful job and got beautiful pictures of my son. We enjoyed meeting and working with her. Her services are highly recommended! And we are looking forward to our fall photo session... Can't wait!!
VoxEfx is a Wizard, THE go-to photographer in the DC, MD, VA areas. The quality of his work speaks for itself, so let me tell you what you may not be able to see by looking through his portfolio of gorgeous images. (1) Vox does more than take pictures. He is well-rounded in his talents and products. Besides producing incredible images, he creates incredible promo videos, flyers, and various edits/retouches. He also teaches his craft to others. Vox has worked with many folks that I personally know, some that I referred to him. They each went to him with different needs/wants, and Vox was always able to cater to each's individual interests. (2) Vox invests in his clients. If you invest in him, likewise, you will experience his vested interest in you. You are more than a client or a subject to him. You will be a part of the planning, the execution, and the quality assurance phases of your project. He will ask questions to understand your preferences and send example/inspiration images/flyers/videos/ etc. before the shoot/event. That way, you will know exactly what you can expect from him and he will get to know a little bit more about you too, which will in turn guide him to better serve you. Within a few days of your shoot/event, he will provide you with a work-in-progress and the opportunity to offer feedback. Vox takes pride in serving the individual interests of each of his clients and genuinely values feedback. His commitment to his clients definitely sets him apart from other photographers/digital wizards. Too often clients are disappointed with products, and unfortunately since the product is a service as well, clients are unable to "return" their products and are out the money, even if they are dissatisfied. Vox is very reasonable in considering requests and feedback. But since you are a part-owner in your product and you are involved in the process/creation, I am confident that by the time Vox presents you with a work in progress, you will already be in love with the work and will have minor suggestions for tweaks at most. :) (3) The images you see on this site are a combination of models and "regular" folks. Can you tell the difference? ;) You do not have to be a model to produce beautiful images. Vox has experience working with a variety of clients - at events, in his studio, or at a location of your choice. He has a keen eye for detail, and will be able to provide instruction if that is desirable. You will feel at ease with him. He is very professional while interacting, gets along with all types of personalities, and will bring out the best in you. (4) Who am I? How do you know this testimony is real and actually represents the opinion of Vox's typical client? I am a 30 year-old mathematician and PhD candidate who has dabbled in modeling the past couple years. I first met Vox at a workshop where my boyfriend was a model. Vox was hired to teach a portion of the class on editing professional images. He has a well-deserved reputation by models and photographers for his post-processing in PhotoShop and LightRoom. I have since hired Vox myself for images and video for my professional website, for special occasions, and "just because" - well, because he makes me feel beautiful. :) Vox and I have also collaborated on a article about "The Mathematics of Beauty." Am I biased? Is it just me? Nope. Friends and associates of mine have also hired Vox. For example, he was recently hired to photograph a StellaDot (jewelry) trunk show for a friend of mine. She needed images for her website both depicting her as the stylist for the event and of her clients engaging in the jewelry party. Another friend of mine, who had never modeled before, hired him to take pictures of her for her Facebook and "just to have." Another friend hired him to take pictures of her with her infant. Yet another hired him to do a couples shoot with her boyfriend. A jeweler who I had originally hired to personalize a necklace for me hired Vox to take my picture for her website. A web-designer I contracted and my personal trainer are both currently working with Vox on promo materials. And I can't count the number of photographers who continuously contact me asking me if they can put me in contact with Vox as a resource for improving their own photography aspirations or to hire him to edit their images. I think my message is loud and clear that I recommend VoxEfx with utmost confidence as a photographer, videographer, Photoshop wizard, mentor, ... But for the sake of providing a closing paragraph, I will leave you with this. Invest in VoxEfx. He will invest in you. You will be more than satisfied. You will probably even write a testimony just like this one on your own free will. He's THAT fantastically amazing! :)
If you do not want cookie-cutter photos ULTRAA is the way to go! I have been using him since I first saw his work! I love how he captures the REALITY of my events and even in the photo booths. The photos he captures are truly authentic. His work is a reflection of his personality! He is very professional and each conversation leading up to my events and shoots have been full of depth – he felt more like family than a photographer we simply hired. Because of that, I always feel such ease using ULTRAA at my events because I know he will capture all the happy moments! I have used him for both indoor and outdoor shoots as well as family events and he has never failed!
We all (photographers) have our unique style. Mine is a fine-art bent, with the eye toward storytelling and photojournalism. See my website for a longer story!
I've had my pictures taken by Carlisha Shanae Photography on two occasions. Each shoot was incredible and I was very satisfied with the experience overall. Carlisha was very accommodating and gave my friend and I a great deal for our photo package. I really appreciated how fast she edited our 300 photos because she gives a 5-7 day waiting period for editing. We were nervous but Carlisha made our experience fun and entertaining! I plan to schedule another shoot with her very soon! If you want crisp, clear, and vividly colorful images at a great price, Carlisha Shanae Photography is the perfect business to schedule a shoot! - Noel
