FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The cost of a consultation is $100, but this amount will be credited toward your design package. We offer a flat-rate service at a promotional rate of $1,000 per room design (original fee is $1,200), which makes it much easier to budget for your design needs. *This flat rate includes: 1 initial design concept to review 1 final room design 1 floor plan design with set-up instructions Direct messaging with your designer Shopping list of furniture & accessories Product Ordering/Shipping service 4 week of post-design support *This rate does not include the cost of furniture, but we will take care of ordering and shipping any selected furniture items for you! *This rate does not include the cost of furniture, assembly, or carpentry, painting, repairs, or structural changes, but we are happy to facilitate the process of locating the right contractors for the job at hand.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process begins with a design consultation, where I love to find out more about your design needs and wants (color, style, function, budget, etc. I then explain the process of e-design and and the one-on-one support that we provide, as well as take photos, videos, and measurements of a space to ensure that we have the information necessary to create a design for you. Design of one (1) room typically takes 1-2 weeks. Then ordering, shipping, and set-up follows. If additional support for assembly, carpentry, painting, or restructuring is needed, we are happy to facilitate the process of locating the right contractors for the job at hand. Once a design project is complete, House of Covington provides post-design support to the client to address any additional needs and make sure the client now has a space that he/she loves.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was inspired early in life taking part in my family’s interior design business, and I learned so much about interior design from them over the years. As a wife and mother of two, I discovered that interior design was truly my passion while customizing our new home and sharing design inspiration. I created House of Covington to inspire others to create a home all their own! While I have a Master of Science in Management, and doctoral work toward a Doctor of Business Administration in International Business, I have added to my design education, taking available courses and master classes in interior design.
