Introduction: We provide care for cats, dogs of all sizes and breeds, small animals, and birds (including parrots & macaws). In addition to vacation care, we offer daily dog walks and overnight in-home care. All of our pet care pros are experienced pet parents. Vacation care services include feeding, walks/ yard time, litter/ cage cleaning, socializing, as well as bringing in mail, newspapers, and packages. Our team of sitters work together to know every pet we care for. This multi-sitter approach ensures a back-up for each client in case their main sitter is unavailable. We love the variety of pets we get to care for. From the smallest guinea pig to the largest St. Bernard, we care for them all as if they are our own.

I have used Stay at Home Pets for several years. Jean typically visits my cat once a day when I am out of town. She is very attentive to my instructions and always texts or calls me during her visit to reassure me that all is well at my house. She leaves notes to let me know about her visits. She leaves my house neat and well cared for, including bringing in mail and watering plants. I feel very comfortable and confident that Jean will provide excellent care. The owner, Michelle, is very easy to work with in setting up reservations and handling payments. I had to cut a trip short on one occasion and she was very gracious about cancelling a few dates. She has always been available for my pet sitting needs, even with short notice on holiday weekends. Stay At Home Pets is also very accommodating with sick pets. Michelle went out of her way to find someone who could provide specialized care to my cat who become ill shortly before a scheduled trip. I would highly recommend this company for pet sitting needs. We have been using Stay At Home Pets (SAHPs) for over 14 years. First with my cat Jasmine and now with our boys, Jack and Zack. I can always count on them to be available when we need to go out of town and to take care of our fur babies the way we would take care of them. We leave detailed instructions on care and feeding and they are followed to the letter. This includes those occasions when our pets have needed special care and medication. Not only that, but they play, pet and brush our pets. It's so wonderful to have our pets cared for in the environment where they are most comfortable. And we trust the employees in our home. They have gone above and beyond. One time we had a leak in our basement while we were away. SAHPs called us and stayed at the house until our parents could arrive to handle the situation. I simply can't say enough about the peace of mind we have knowing our pets are safe and happy while we are away.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer 30 minute visits for $25 each, 45 minute visits for $30 each, and 60 minute visits for $35 each. Overnight care (the sitter stays in your home overnight) is $70 per night and includes bedtime & breakfast visits.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We require a free get-to-know-you session with every new client. This allows the pets & sitters to meet each other. We have at least 2 sitters meet each client so we have a back-up in place in case 1 sitter is not available for visits. This also allows us to match the pet with the best sitter for their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our sitters are experienced pet parents.
