Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I provide high-quality instruction at a reasonable rate ($25 per hour) for almost any subject: all levels of math through Calculus III, test preparation, English, and science. I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students (including second-career students). I tutor both online (after a first time in-person meeting) and in person. I look forward to working with you! I graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD with a BSES (engineering science) and a minor in biology. I am a member of Alpha Sigma Nu (Jesuit Honor Society). I graduated from Towson University in May 2011 with a MAT degree (Masters in the Art of Teaching). Here is a summary of my work experience: * Taught Algebra II and HRS Geometry for Baltimore County Public Schools for over 3 years * Tutored at Sylvan Learning Center in the summer of 2009 to ages 5 to 15 (reading, writing, and math) * Privately tutored from summer of 2009 to summer of 2011 (basic Math through college statistics, including SAT and GRE prep)

Ms. Chrest helped my nephew with SAT test preparation. Her initial analysis, tactical strategies and deep subject knowledge demonstrated why she is a skilled tutor. I'd highly recommend her services.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I left engineering to become a teacher/tutor because I was tired of sitting behind a desk all day working a job for which I had no passion. I love teaching/tutoring--I get excited about seeing math make sense for someone else. And I enjoy making a personal connection with my clients.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take time to look at a tutor's educational background and experience, not necessarily rate. I charge less because I believe in a fair price, not because of inexperience.
