We are very happy with Westmont Enterprises. After discovering that our shower was leaking into the ceiling below, we had no choice but to rip out and reconstruct the pan. And as long as that was happening, we figured we might as well renovate the whole thing. Ben was great the entire time. That started when he showed up, on time, for a consultation we set days earlier. After rolling with some delays (this was during the coronavirus pandemic), Ben and a helper got started. We were immediately pleased. For one, Ben cheerfully accommodated a request to work on weekends to try to minimize noise during teleworking weekdays. Second, he cleaned up well at the end of the day—essential in a one-bath apartment. Third, he didn’t utter a peep about the days of extra labor needed for the small tile I chose. Fourth, he’s a nice, knowledgeable guy, who answered every one of my questions. And last, when we noticed a few things needed touching up days later, he was happy to drive for two hours just for the hour it took to make things right. The results were a solid A. The project was done on time, in nine days. It was also on budget: $9400 for floor-to-high-ceiling tile (including tile at $3 / sqft and a new shower knob and faucet, but not including the new door we wanted). $9400 is on the expensive side, but the quality was worth it. The shower looks great. I can’t give an A+ only because I have to be stingy with perfect scores. There are minor imperfections in the tile cutting and laying that only a nitpicker would notice. But they really are minor and a far cry from the serious errors made by the last guys to work on the bathroom. Contractors have a bad rap. Not this one. I would hire Ben again in a heartbeat.

I bought an investment property in the Baltimore area that needed a LOT of work. Westmont Enterprises remodeled the entire kitchen and main floor bathroom, and built a brand new bathroom in the basement, including a laundry room under the stairs. They used a really nice tile for the kitchen and bathroom floors that looks like wood, and did a great tile job for the kitchen backsplash and bathtubs. They helped me pick out inexpensive, but very nice looking shaker kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities, and they did shaker-style framing around all the windows to match. It looks like a brand new house on the inside!
