I had an absolutely wonderful Reiki experience with Cynthia. I had never tried Reiki before. A friend had suggested it and I heard back from Cynthia on Thumbtack the same day. As I had never tried Reiki before, we sat and talked a bit about it first. He has a very kind and calming disposition and welcomed questions and concerns. I felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole session. (I have chronic pain from spinal problems and she went through three pillow combinations to get my legs to a comfortable height for me) I went into it not expecting too much (also not wanting to create a placebo effect), kind of the mindset of getting a massage or generic acupuncture. (Hope I'm not building up your placebo effect too much) When I got home I realized how calm and just...balanced/level headed I felt. I'm a mind racing, anxious, weight of the world on my shoulders person who is sometimes paralyzed by over thinking. I was able to lay in bed and just sink in and relax. My pain was still there (my sciatic nerve is glued in place, after all), but it wasn't nagging and draining on my mind as usual. This carried on for over a week and I was absolutely floored. I'm a very science minded person (getting my MS right now) and I kept going to all my friends and saying "I know this isn't everyone's thing, but I can't believe how amazing I feel!" Cynthia had suggested I start a dream journal and in the three weeks since I've had very vivid dreams that I've been able to recall far past immediately waking up. I was so happy and enthused by the results that I'm joining her Reiki I class coming up. From a natural skeptic, I 💯 recommend you give it a try and believe, no matter what, Cynthia will certainly make you feel comfortable and cared for in that hour. She definitely has a gift and I was very grateful that she shared it with me and am looking forward to learning from her, and stopping in for tune ups ;-)

I was recently introduced to Malgosia and the awesome world of Gua sha and Acupuncture. Malgosia is extremely professional, knowledgeable and very personable. She made it very ease to talk about my issues and concerns. The Gua sha was the biggest surprise because I thought it might be painful but it wasn't at all and I immediately felt relief in my neck and injured shoulder. This lasted several days after my treatment. The acupuncture also brought great relief both when I had the flu and again when I had stomach issues. I've had such a pleasant experience with Malgosia. Her knowledge and skill set speak for themselves and I love that she thinks outside of the box. I look forward to many more treatments with Malgosia and I really can't recommend her enough!
Jamie is a wonderful practitioner! She truly listens to what is going on with me and I always walk out feeling great!
Two years ago I started treatment with Martha for anxiety/depression issues and a life that felt too constricted. During this time Ive been able to stay off medication and to try dance and yoga classes that have been a joy. Beyond this, I have gained an understanding of Five Element theory that has guided my approach to each season. Martha is a compassionate and intuitive healer who uses acupuncture but also herbs, stones, and real listening with patients who heal and grow due to her care.
The goal at OurSpace Acupuncture is to make available to everyone healing and health care that is safe, accessible, affordable, effective, and drug free. In order to do this, we provide it in a community setting, where multiple people receive acupuncture pins to help maintain wellness and aid the healing of ailments. Because of this format, we are able to allow people to pay what they can afford. Too often, people aren't able to take advantage of the many benefits of acupuncture (that comes with consistent treatment) because of the cost. Our sliding scale is $15-$40 per 1-hour treatment; you decide what to pay; no questions are asked. Scheduling an appointment is easy. We are open on the following days and times: * Tuesdays through Thursdays: 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. (last appointment is at 6:45 p.m.) * Fridays and Saturdays: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (last appointment is at 1:45 p.m.) Please use our online scheduler on our website. Or if you prefer, call us, or email Farris to schedule an appointment. We accept cash, checks, and online prepayments as well. We look forward to working with you to meet your health goals!

Acupuncture at Home looks to bring acupuncture affordably to the homebound, elderly, busy parents, executives and those in debilitating pain. While health care, even holistic options, has become more "efficient" and "streamlined," I believe that healing can't always be accomplished on a schedule and can't be divorced from the time a practitioner spends with his/her patient. I have therefore structured both office hours and house calls into my practice in Northwest Baltimore. I have been in practice in New York for 5 years and have recently moved to Baltimore with my family. I have successfully treated musculoskeletal issues, stress-related disorders, impotence, migraines, severe back pain, seasonal allergies and more. I do not accept insurance, but I will provide documentation for clients to submit to their insurance. I keep my fees comparable with a typical out-of-pocket specialist co-pay. Abraham Finkelstein, MS LAc, is an MD and NY licensed acupuncturist with a master's degree in traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture.
My practice specializes in internal medicine, women's health, chronic pain, and cancer support. I practice Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and use acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, Chinese herbs, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and dietary and lifestyle recommendations to address presenting symptoms as well as underlying imbalances. I accept most insurance. In good health, Molly
We work as a team to achieve the optimum health for each patient. Patients can receive primary care, chiropractic care if it is necessary in addition to acupuncture at same location.
My patients tell me that my unique gift is that I help them tap into their own healing power, and they really can sense my healing power during the treatment. The Chinese medicine I practice truly brings all the essential elements of a healthy life to my patients. I not only use acupuncture and herbs but also instructions on diet and lifestyle changes, calming techniques, exercises, self-massage, etc. I believe a comprehensive healing method applied by both practitioner and patient is mostly beneficial to heal the patient's particular condition and to improve his/her general well-being. I am a Diplomate in Acupuncture, certified by National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine, and a licensed acupuncturist in Maryland and Washington, DC. I have Bethesda, ChevyChase and DC locations for the convenience of the patients associated with the local N.D. and P.T. I graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SUTCM), P.R. China in 1992. I practiced at the famous Longhua Hospital affiliated to SUTCM and also taught acupuncture and herbal medicine to the foreign students at the WHO Acupuncture Training Center in SUTCM.
