Having quality care for the pet that I love so very much, required much research and someone who genuinely cares about my loved one. After looking for quite some time for a local pet sitter, I was blessed to have found Walking with Renzo & Ruby! My dog and I were one of the lucky ones that got the Renzo & Ruby experience! Their amazing owner Natasha is top notch and is very accomodating. She met all the needs that I asked for and more! Natasha welcomed us to a break the ice session. Mink and I were invited over to meet Renzo & Ruby to help with my dogs socialization skills, this helped with Mink's aprehesion she sometimes has with other dogs. Natasha offered the in home care and drop by visits if I needed it. I was assured that my dog would do fine in her home or mine because Renzo & Ruby were very good about sharing their space! Mink's nervousness diminished as she warmed up to Natasha and the introduction to her babies Renzo & Ruby, prior to her stay! I was elated and impressed at the attentiveness being displayed. While on vacation, Natasha sent the cutest pictures of Mink on the ride over and while warming up to her dogs! I will definitely recommend her services to anyone who is looking for superior care for their pet/s. Thank you Natasha! Alindia

This company has been horrible. The first assigned sitter canceled for personal reasons. Fine, life happens. Not a big deal. Second sitter comes, she seems fearful of big dogs. Third assigned sitter has been M.I.A. She is supposed to be at my house watching my dogs right now. The company's response is "we don't have a status update right now. " Why am I paying almost 90.00 per night ?!?

Barking Trails has been excellent to work with so far. Their rates are outstanding, and their responsiveness is on point. I was really hesitant at first to have someone in my house while I am not there, but the dog walker they sent has put my mind at ease! She texts me before arriving, sends me photos of the dogs every day, and texts me again once she leaves the house. (Not to mention that my dogs love her!)

Vicky was great! She not only took great care with all of our animals, she handled my anxiety well! We received photos and notes every day with updates of the animals and how they were doing. I told her not to worry about one of my super shy cats because if she tried to find her, it would stress her out more than just being left alone...well, the first day I get a picture of that cat just chillin with Vicky! When we came home we were greeted with an, "Oh...it's you. You're back" bored look from the animals...that was GREAT! I knew she kept them so happy they were not pining away for us or stressed out. I had used another pet sitter for seven years due to convenience, but the animals seemed stressed when we returned. With Vicky, everything was great.

Kim is very professional and sweet, she took care of my kitty cat and chinchilla while we were away for our wedding. I have an incredibly needy cat but he wasn't super desperate when we got home so I could tell he had enough attention. We then used Kim to check on the house and chinchilla while away for our honeymoon. I usually worry a lot about my animals and can get a bit anxious but she was very understanding and I felt relieved to have her with them. I left my cat at a friend's house for our honeymoon but I think if we go on another long trip I will just ask Kim to come back. She has even brought in packages for us and made an extra stop to turn off my ridiculous house alarm so the beeping noise wouldn't bother my chinchilla. Highly recommend. (Oh and she is one of the only pet sitters we have had who isn't scared of the chinchilla. I can tell she is a real animal lover)

Gerard does a most excellent job taking care of my cat army in my house when I am away. He spends a good deal of time playing and socializing with them, cleaning up after them and feeding them exactly as requested. I receive daily texted updates, photos and videos of the status of my furry children. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an in house cat sitter.

I am beyond exceptionally impressed with Adam of Wags & Purrs Pet Care. I called him on rather short notice last week, and when he came to my home to meet my crew -- a Great Pyrenees, two parrots, a cat and my indoor-kept Pekin duck, Adam was not fazed – not even about caring for a duck! He was very businesslike and asked all the appropriate questions an experienced pet sitter would ask. I liked the idea of hiring a vet tech, but when I met him, I also immediately felt comfortable with his easy-going and professional manner. Even though my trip was stressful, because I was 1,500 miles away for my 94-year-old mother’s surgery, I never, EVER once "worried" about how things were going at home, because Adam kept me apprised of every detail. I’m sometimes a worrier, but I was very impressed with Adam’s ability to handle anything that arose. His reliability and consistency were immediately evident, and when my two-day trip suddenly turned into three because of a massive blizzard, Adam picked up the third day without hesitation. He faithfully texted me after his twice-a-day visits, but he did much more than that. He sent me lots of pix of my pets, video clips, and always updated me on how they were doing. Adam was never, ever in a "rush" when we talked or texted, which says so much about his dedication to animal care. I am confident Adam genuinely cares about animals’ health, safety and welfare, and clearly doesn't see pet-sitting as "just a job." He is extremely responsible and detail oriented, and even stopped by a time or two just to check on things. I knew I found the right person for the job with my varied crew when Adam took it upon himself to make friends with my African Grey, 18, who NEVER goes to anyone except me! I was beyond shocked and impressed!! Greys are extremely cautious of anything and anyone "new," but mine undoubtedly sensed Adam was trustworthy, and sat on his hand every day! In the pictures Adam sent me, my Grey looked so content! I have always made sure my parrots’ cage doors are secure to avoid “escapes,” but when Adam took it upon himself to open the parrots’ doors -- and my Grey let Adam handle him, that’s when I was convinced WITHOUT a doubt that Adam is “the” sitter for my crew. He was extremely attentive to all of my "family" members, and even my standoffish cat kissed him on the nose. Adam made sure my duck had her bath to exercise her arthritic legs, and prepared her salads and watermelon in addition to her the regular diet. In fact, he did not hesitate to take care of every little detail each pet needed -- and took it upon himself to do much more. I was also very impressed with his respect for a client's home. Of course, he made sure my home was secure and never hesitated to call and text when he had a question or concern. But he also treated my home and my family like his own. My landline rings incessantly (it's only backup), and Adam called me because he was worried someone was trying to reach me! My laundry sink overflowed (my fault for not advising him!) and he was very concerned about it. Not only did he clean up, he even improvised a “new” cat litter box when my kitty’s box became wet from the sink issue. Amazing. When I came home last evening, I honestly wondered if my critter crew was a bit disappointed it wasn't Adam coming back! They were all so content, and that simply spoke volumes about Adam’s care. I hope to keep him as my permanent pet sitter for a long, long time -- and I know my “family” feels the same way. Terri M C, Nov. 26, 2015

Often times, our lives get so complicated that we lose track of important details like - having a backup dog sitter! Well, that was most certainly the case; however, Jenny came to our rescue. From the moment we left to go on vacation, we felt comfortable and never worried. Jenny took exceptional care of our Labradoodle. We received pictures every day and upon our return, she provided a journal! Jenny has a true and sincere love for animals. Her kindness and willingness to go that extra mile is far beyond any human comprehension. I can’t wait for our training sessions to begin! Five Stars for Jenny … it is most certainly well deserved!!

About

I have worked for numerous years at a vet. I practice holistic therapies for animals and I have certifications.

About

I have over 35 years of experience with animals (especially dogs and cats), including pets with special needs and large-breed dogs. I was the proud owner of a Siberian husky and 2 husky/lab mixes for over 18 years and I've recently started pet sitting a Great Pyrenees in my home and visiting various friends' cats to keep them company when their owners are away so I'm very familiar and comfortable with all sorts of animals, especially large-breed and overly active dogs. I have always had a natural ability and connection with animals (that few people have), so I fully understand how important your pets are to you and your family and I will treat them with the same love and respect as if they were my own family! I’m extremely dependable, honest, responsible, caring, trustworthy and respectful of your pets and property. I’m conveniently located, offering the safe and secure services that you would expect for you, your pets, and your property. Offering more than just your average dog walking service, I’ll give your dog(s) adequate time to allow them to “go potty” while also allowing enough time, love and attention to play with your pets (not just dogs but all sorts of domestic house pets) to provide quality fun, exercise, companionship and play time allowing you true peace of mind when you’re just not able to be there. Feeding and scheduled medication administration services are also available. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon!

About

I'm an animal lover. I've owned a lot of pets while growing up, such as dogs, cats, fishes, bunnies, hamsters, and turtles. I've loved each and every one of them. I would appreciate it if one tells me how her/his pet is being treated, when to feed him and his daily routine. I do have my own techniques but that might not work as good as yours!
