I was initially impressed with Gonzo's enthusiasm and professional demeanor when I hired him few weeks ago as a professional salsa dancer to surprise my daughter during her graduation party. For the one hour we agreed on, Gonzo performed just for few minutes and everyone in the room just wanted to dance with the graduated girl due to the ambiance Gonzo created. He demonstrated outstanding skills of the salsa dancing and all the guests were impressed. Gonzo is reliable, dedicated and eternally upbeat. His ability to drive the attention of the entire audience was supreme, and it is because of his excellence in this area that I repeatedly recommended him to anyone. Gonzo is a great and top-performing salsa dancer. He has my highest recommendation, and I am happy to furnish more details if you would like additional information. Sincerely, Alex
My fiance and I came in for beginner dance classes with Priti for our wedding ceremony. We both enjoy music but had zero formal dancing experience, so this was naturally a bit out there for us. Right off the bat, Priti was really great at understanding our vision and what we we're looking for in our first dance. She was able to teach us basics around ramba, salsa, and swing, which we're all incorporated into our dance routine. As beginners, learning the basics prior to learning different routine executions made putting everything together much easier in the grand scheme of things. Each lesson, she worked with us on improvements and made sure to adjust the dance accordingly based on our feedback/hesitations across particular areas. Overall, it was a very calming experience that left us very well prepared for our wedding. We are very happy with the service we received from Priti and received amazing feedback from our friends and family on our performance. We would 100% recommend her for anyone looking to work with someone reassuring, patient, and very knowledgeable in her craft. Thanks Priti!!
Alina is an amazing instructor that is patient and can quickly identify problematic areas with each student and change coaching to maximize lesson effectiveness. Alina makes novice dancers feel comfortable, at ease and instills confidence with easy to follow lessons & practice. My favorite part is that she focuses on the fundamentals and proper technique. Overall, Alina is a lovely and patient teacher and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their social dancing skills while also having a lot of fun.
The brilliance of Judicita as a wedding choreographer and dance teacher is best conveyed by my husband, Andrew: I am a man who is terrified of dancing. In six weeks, Judicita took my dancing from "baby giraffe immediately after birth" to, as our wedding guests commented, "surprisingly not terrible" and "actually kind of really impressive." I did not want to jump out of a window at any point in the teaching process. Judicita was professional, empathetic, and effective both as a teacher and a choreographer. I am extremely happy with the services she provided and would recommend her in a heartbeat. I proposed to a woman of Puerto Rican/Peruvian background. She lives to dance. I was informed, lovingly and with zero wiggle room, that our first dance at the wedding would involve me doing salsa. Growing up, the blackest nightmares I ever had involved me trying and failing to dancing in front of all of my friends and family. So, choking down the terror, my then-fiancée and I contracted with Judicita to teach us (i.e. me) a choreographed 3-4 minute salsa dance. Judicita is--and I cannot stress this enough--extremely good a teaching. She has all of the normal, fundamental dance instructor skills: she's a talented dancer herself, she's very good at motion analysis and mechanics, and she's able to define and adjust choreography on the fly. But where she truly excels is her raw ability to teach. Rather than the familiar and irritating "Do this. No, like this. Point your toe more. No, like THIS. Watch me AGAIN" style of fussy instruction you get at many salsa rooms, Judicita is genuinely and patiently focused on teaching you to move. "That was great!" says Judicita with what feels like genuine excitement. "If you hold your chin a little higher the spin will be tighter, but you've really got the basic motion down!". She continually explained the "why" behind the motions, and let us learn at our own pace without getting hung up on perfection. We learned exactly what we needed for our dance. More importantly, I didn't feel like I was going to throw up from stress during lessons. I could list out many other positives: her quick and precise decisions on choreography--always listening closely to what we liked and didn't like; her flexibility in dealing with our schedule; her constant positivity and professionalism. In the end, we successfully pulled of an amazing first dance that was exactly what my bride wanted. Was I actually a born dancer? An unpolished diamond in the rough whose amazing skills were simply waiting to be discovered? A modern-day Patrick Swayze, if you will? This is what I'll keep telling myself. But the truth is, the only reason I walked out onto the floor excited, confident, and prepared, instead of nauseous and terrified, is because Judicita guided me there every step of the way. She should be teaching movie stars and professional competition dancers, instead of awkward dudes hoping to impress their partners. But thank God she does.
Gabe, as he is known, was hired to choreograph a hip hop dance for a Christian dance studio. He was the first male instructor for the dancers and they immediately liked him. He has such a welcoming and fun personality that it's impossible not to like him. When teaching even the most challenging choreography, he always makes it fun to learn (and watch if you're taking a peek). When the dance is performed it is always looks great and is very entertaining. He is a great teacher and would make a wonderful choice if you're ever in need of dance choreography. Can't say enough good things about this young man. I'm sure you'll be as satisfied and happy to know him as I am.
Asala was great! One of the best belly dancers I've seen in the D.C. area. I would definitely hire her again!
I just recently began contemporary/modern/hip hop dance lessons with Brandy and I could not have asked for a better teacher! She is knowledgeable, paitient, and highly skilled. I would definitely recommend to everyone! I learned so much in just three weeks and will continue to learn so much as we move forward
Razilee performed for an intimate gathering at my apartment. She was very professional and easy to communicate with. Her performance was incredible and she really got the crowd comfortable and up and dancing! Everyone loved the belly dancing lesson and wearing the hip scarves she provided! I would highly recommend and can’t wait to have her back at another event!!
I've seen other belly dancers; and she has been the best one. Other belly dancers seem to all be similar; but not her. Her dancing is unique and beautiful. It seems like her dancing comes from within. She involves the audience and they happily participate. She is awesome!
I have been looking for a place to learn more about salsa and bachata steps. First, I went to a Herndon place for dancing classes and I was dissatisfied with the quality of instruction, the attention from the staff, and the fact that they wanted to talk first about money; besides, the first lesson I took, I felt I learned nothing. Then, I went to the Crown Dance Studio for my first free class. I was impressed by the instructor, Abraham Sannoh, he was friendly and encouraging, very professional. He danced with me first, taught me about the position of body, hands, feet, movement’s techniques, so many things! I was amazed! Totally different from what I “knew” or have learned before. After long time dancing, he checked out first what my level was, then we sat down, he informed me about what I needed to learn next, he asked about me, my interest in dancing, what I wanted to learn, etc. he also gave me recommendations and gave me different options to pay for the classes. I felt he really care about me and about my personal dancing goals. At the end, I found out I got almost the double of everything I was offered in the other place, more one to one classes, more group classes and more parties, a better deal compared to the other place! For a much lower price! I will take now my third class today, and I am thinking about extending the dancing classes since I now want to learn how to dance swing and tango! So far, so good! This place is great! Excellent flooring, excellent location, excellent professional instructors… I highly recommend Crown Dance Studio.
She did an excellent job and quite a professional belly dancer, Thank you Leilah very much.
I was amazing! Forever Dancing Ballroom is like a partner dance sanctuary, and Fabio has so much knowledge in dance... I have taken private lessons before, but it does not compare. I have just bought 10 more lessons and I am looking forward to them. I feel inspired, empowered and motivated. I am also planning on attending some of their group classes and parties. The studio is clean, spacious, charming and unique. Parking was easy and free. The staff is courteous and the instructors look like “ dancing with the stars” professional dancers. I saw some very beginner students (wedding couples learning) and some very advanced (at least they look like that for me) and they all look very happy. Fabio magically solved (at the first 10 minutes of the lesson) some issues that I have been having with my dance since I started a couple of years ago. I wish I had started my first lesson with him.
Latasha brown is a amazing dancer. I saw her perform at a event in Kansas once and her form was amazing and execution of movement was out of this world. She had great body control and technique that really demonstrated excellent skill. I must say it was a phenomenal overall.
I worked with DJ Amen Ra for a summer wedding I planned in Seattle, WA and he KILLED IT! It was, hands down, the best DJ to dance party experience I had ever seen and I've been doing weddings for over eight years. The couple had a niche sound (90's hip hop) and he played to the crowd perfectly! His mixing style is beyond!! As a listener if felt like he was playing hit after hit, every 45 seconds. The party just didn't stop! The dance floor was packed immediately and it stayed packed because of him. He was EXACTLY what you want in a DJ at a wedding. Guests hated leaving the dance floor because they didn't want to miss out on the fun. As a planner I found myself dancing by myself cleaning up the reception. I would recommend him to anyone who wanted to have a good time - he is awesomesauce!!!
Very professional and great dancing skills... awesome personality as well! Highly recommended.
