Tina does amazing work! She has conducted major photo shoots with famous models and major movies. Her modeling-photo experience really shines through as Tina has master control of all components of her studio -- all components geared to one goal: making you look the best, fabulous! Tina is a very friendly and welcoming person. She motivates you to bring out your best portrait look. She is the best photographer to have ever taken my portrait in my life. I highly recommend her.
Winstead is a multi-talented artist on many platforms that I've had the pleasure of witnessing. Winstead was the hair/makeup artist on set of my first photoshoot in VA, and more recently, he directed and produced my first video interview! His talents know no boundaries, and he's nothing short of a pleasure to work with. Winstead is a true professionsal.
Highly recommend Greg as a photographer for family portrait. We had a family reunion in Annapolis and thought it would be nice to get a family picture as we are rarely together. Greg was incredibly accommodating, driving down from Baltimore on a Sunday morning. Further, we had two toddlers who were a bit challenging to photograph. Greg was flexible, patient and resourceful (using his expert editing skills to swap their faces with photographs where they were engaged and smiling - looking at the pictures you would have no idea they were edited). Greg is extremely personable, professional and an excellent portrait photographer.
Josh is AMAZING!!!!!! I think that taking great pictures is a skill that plenty of people have, however Josh's personality, professionalism and overall spirit stands him apart from the rest. I love working with a professional that loves their work, and Josh's passion for photography oozes out of him!!!! He made my engagement shoot seamless! Being our first time taking professional photos, I was worried my fiance would not be comfortable. Josh had the both of us chuckling and in a complete relaxed zone the entire time. Not to mention, my photos have me speechless!!! I literally want to make up another life event just for Josh to capture it! lol.
What can I say...He was the consummate professional. From the time of selection he was interested in the type of shots we wanted and requested to see inspiration photos. On the day of our wedding he showed up on time and it felt as if he had investigated our wedding location to ensure our photos moved seamlessly from pre wedding, wedding candids, and post wedding. My family and guests felt like he was a member of the family. He was patient and took photos that not only fit our personality but exceeded our expectations (per the inspiration photos provided before the wedding). He delivered the finished photos on time and from first look until now all I see is how awesome they are and how we (the entire wedding party) party thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We definitely plan to sit with him again for portraits. I think we have found the our photographer of choice for all upcoming occasions. We recommend have been recommending him as our photographer of choice (especially to all who have seen our wedding photos.) Thanks again for everything!!! Respectfully, The Minors (May 24, 2018) 😀
Chris works for Living on the Lawn magazine. A private resident community magazine that I am the publisher for. Each month I ask Chris to capture our feature family and his portrait work is as good as it gets. As publisher I trust him to deliver to me every month a series of images of our feature family. One image of the family goes on the cover and his other images fill out the remainder of the feature. He is great with the families. I love his work, but better yet the families love his work and enjoy working with him.
Hassan did a great job working with my 1 year old to get some really amazing pictures! Aside from the amazing quality, he edited and got the finished photos back extremely fast. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for family portraits!
Robert was a great wedding photographer for us. I phone interviewed him, had an in-person interview, and heard from 2 of his references about 10 months before our wedding. In the lead-up, he actually reached out to ME, reminding ME that I wanted to touch base with my list of photos, preferences, wedding day details, etc., so that tells me he was on the ball. Once I had the photo list, preferences, etc. documented, he set up a phone call about a week or 2 before the wedding, and we stepped through the timeline, and he advised me how to order the shots, how to make sure family photos go as smoothly as possible, etc. We added one hour to the contract, and the contract change was a breeze. On the wedding day, he was on time and ready to go for our first look. I was an antzy bride, so he dealt with the, "What time is it?" question a lot and didn't seem to mind. (Actually, I was honest about not being crazy about posed pictures to begin with, and he didn't seem offended.) He breezed us through family portraits before the ceremony and then the big family portraits during cocktail hour. I actually had 30 minutes of my cocktail hour thanks to him. I know he was *there,* but I totally didn't notice him during the ceremony or reception. He gave us a heads up when his time was up and thanked us for our business. Per our contract, he delivered preview pictures the next business day--only he provided 14--4 more than contractually obligated. And again, within contract deadlines, he delivered the entire set of photos 5 weeks and 1 day after the wedding. Then we received the CD with the images about 67 weeks after the wedding. Out of the 800ish photos he took, I find about 175 to be good candidates for an album. He got great photos and followed my preferences. Very happy with Robert and the photos.
I have had the extreme pleasure of Graham Snodgrass photographing two family portraits of my family. Both times Graham produced superb quality portraits , capturing each family member's personalities. I have the one he shot last fall in my office at work and I constantly receive compliments on the work. Graham uses all kinds of lights and equipment to ensure that the lighting and quality of his work is fine. His ideas on background and location are original and interesting. He has framed the work he has done for me and each time the finished product is just right. Graham has creativity and his work is professional. I most certainly will have Graham shoot another portrait this fall for a Christmas gift for my husband. I love his choices for outdoor backgrounds! They are so personal and intersting!
There really isn't enough time, or just the right words to describe the unbelievable experience we had working with Jamaal McKenzie. So, if you want the Reader's Digest version of this review, here it is: stop everything that you are doing, call him immediately and do whatever you can to book him. But seriously. From the start, Jamaal was constantly and unwaveringly professional, responsive, and helpful. He responded almost immediately to any email or question I had. He made himself available to talk via phone or skype, which was especially important to us because we were planning our wedding from afar. And he provided us with detailed information about the entire process right up front. Beyond all of those things, however, Jamaal demonstrated a real genuine earnestness to do good work for us. Right away, it was clear to me that Jamaal was an artist who truly cares about his work, rather than just someone who photographs weddings to make money. This was really demonstrated by his approach to shooting weddings: he attended our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, pre-wedding getting ready, the ceremony, and almost the entire reception all for a price that I found to be extremely reasonable. Working with Jamaal the day before and the day of the wedding was also a wonderful experience. He was unobtrusive, but also checked in with me and my husband when appropriate. He was extremely organized and prepared for many different shots and scenarios. And was entirely a calming energy that helped me relax and not worry if the pictures would turn out great. Needless to say, the final products are simply stunning. He captured every single image that we requested, and used his artistry to create images that we couldn't have imagined ourselves, but that will hang on our walls for generations. Other people have said in their reviews of Jamaal that booking him was the single best decision they made in the entire wedding process, and I simply couldn't agree more.
My experience with Elmo Laing was a powerful trigger of personal memory---from light, to set-up, to processing. By all accounts, he is a meticulous craftsman. Through his eyes and indelible images of my party guests, I am still reliving this momentous occasion ---my 60th birthday celebration. In photograph after photograph, Elmo captured every mood and motion of the affair. He documented the dancing, the band, the striking group portraits, the cake, the room decorum, and of course--ME. His photography has played an important role of constructing memory because the stories leap from their stills. His images are stimulants for remembering---happy lives, families and friends, and what & how we celebrate. I hover over these images! That’s what fantastic photographers do….they show the environment, they show what they saw and they work to compose the best for YOU. That is exactly what Elmo Laing produced for me. Oh, wait a minute, did I mentioned that he is patient, polite, and precise with posing & positioning—a good photographer. Thank you, Elmo for your artistry, storytelling and technical ability. Miranda Drummond is hands-down THE best Bat Mitzvah photographer that we've seen. To put things into perspective, people love to complain, but the fact that Miranda has a solid 5 star rating. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Miranda! She photographed our daughter's Bat Mitzvah at Mayflower Hotel. From start to finish, she was great. She responds to calls/emails right away and she provides suggestions when asked, was very prompt and responsive to our millions of questions. She is a true professional -courteous, respectful, polite, flexible and most importantly, she understands. Taking photographs with her was a lot of fun either for kids or adults because she knew exactly what she was doing, created a relaxed atmosphere, and was genuinely excited to take pictures. She is incredibly artistic and creative--every single photograph is beautifully composed and considering that we had 80 kids and 70 adults in different Halls her work amazed us. Miranda is so incredibly skilled and her love of photography truly shows in her work. We have already looked at our photos dozens of times. Miranda did wonderful work and exceeded our expectations!! So many of our family and friends have complimented on the quality, creativity and the quantity of the pictures. Miranda provided us with such an awesome gift that will allow us to remember one of the happiest times in our lives for the rest of our lives. We are looking forward to working with her in the future at any opportunity we can and would refer her to anyone looking for talented people to not only capture a meaningful moment but to create beautiful memories.
He came to my house to do some portrait-type photography. I appreciated that Joe was relaxed and friendly and didn't seem rushed. I got the photos back from him very quickly. He was helpful in suggesting good backgrounds as well. I was very pleased with the end result. I think he'd make a great family photographer also.
I recently worked with Nandor and was extremely impressed and pleased with his quality of work. I advised him of the type of photos that I wanted, and he did an excellent job with his suggestions, direction and vision. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have professional portraits taken of them and would also definitely work with him in the future!
Pri was great. She was easy to communicate with and quickly answered all of my questions as we planned our photo shoot. When the weather that day was terrible, she was able to reschedule so we got pretty weather. On the day of the shoot, she was friendly and professional. I could tell she was used to kids and babies because she made all kinds of goofy sounds to get my son to smile in the pictures. I'm really happy with the beautiful family portraits and will definitely book Pri again in the future.
Kelly was our daughter's senior portrait photographer and we had a great experience with her and got outstanding results. Love what she was able to capture! Very natural but still very flattering shots, and lots of creativity too. Thank you again Kelly!
Rachel is a real pro - if you are looking for beautiful, real, crisp, clear portraits, engagement and wedding photos, family photos - anything - look no further. Rachel instantly made me feel at ease in front of the camera and knew exactly how to guide my fiance and I to capture authentic and natural photos. She is brilliant at using natural light, too. We could not be happier!
We hired Lizzy to help us take pictures for my father's 90th birthday. We did a lot of family portraits and singles. We also used Lizzy to take pictures of the event. Lizzy was sweet and very professional. She suggested many ideas during the picture taking process. She was very patient with my father who moved slowly. Thanks Lizzy you were great.
Dawn Elliott at Snap n Giggle is awesome! She is a very talented photographer and so creative with her poses. She has a keen eye and artistic sense, and her retouch skills are nothing short of Ninja - like (if you need to have a little tweak on those crow's feet.) She is a consummate professional in her work and interactions with clients.
My family and I have taken annual family photos for years and by far, we had loved working with Bria the most. She was able to capture the types of photos we wanted (portraits & PJ) and she was so good with my kids. Her price is so reasonable. And her turn around time for the proofs is fast. Excellent, excellent photographer!
My name is Roger Glass and Im the communications specialist for the Washington Teachers Union. In that capacity, I have hired Edward C. Jones to photograph numerous WTU events and activities. Edward has been given a wide range of WTU assignments, including school visits by the unions president, WTU training programs, membership meetings, social events and major conferences. He was also hired to take the official portrait of the unions president. Edward uses top quality cameras and lenses, and possesses an outstanding photographic sixth sense that typically results in him capturing the best of each and every situation and person. He follows up his WTU assignments by providing both low- and high-resolution images, enabling me to use these photos in a timely manner in the unions print and electronic publications, as well as on Facebook and other digital outlets. If necessary, he will enhance the images through the use of Photoshop and will occasionally suggest additional uses for the photos he takes for the WTU. Edward has proven to be dependable and efficient, and the quality of his work is consistently top notch. I will continue to regularly hire him for WTU assignments.
