Rather than offering group yoga classes, I primarily focus on one-on-one private Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy sessions and 8 Week Mindfulness & Grief groups, as well as drop in meditation classes.
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is done one-on-one in a confidential environment. To begin, I lead you through a guided meditation to help you set an intention or goal for the session. Then I gently move and stretch you while you relax on the fluffy mat - honoring your own body's needs and limits. At the end of the session, I lead you through another guided meditation, which allows you to reflect on how the session relates to your life.Then you are invited to set an "action step" to do outside of the session, which will help you take a step towards your initial goal. It may be to relax, to heal from grief, or family and career related goals.
I have been giving sessions since 2003, and offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like the session, you don't pay. (No one has ever had to take me up on this!)
I am the author of Mindfulness & Grief, which is based on the 8 week group that I created and facilitate. The program also includes a day long retreat halfway through the program, and is open to bereaved people who have lost a loved one to death.
