I have worked with Gaurav over the past 3 years and during this time he not only introduced me to yoga but helped me cultivate a practice of my own. He is a patient instructor who pushes you but not beyond a comfortable pace. After learning from Gaurav I have realized that yoga is a complete mind body workout. I have never left a class feeling that I did not work my body hard. Gaurav has also been my nutrition guide over the past couple of years and has worked with me to improve the effects of PCOS. His 40 day plan helped me reset my body and allow my liver to detox while at the same time practiced moderation so i do not feel deprived. The plan helped me change my habits and get into the routine of making healthier choices food wise. With Gaurav's help my symptoms have greatly reduced and we continue to work on making my condition better by modifying the plan as need be. Overall my experience working with Gaurav has been extremely positive and has made me conscious of how important healing the body through yoga, exercise and nutrition is.
I have taken Gentle Yoga with Asya at Sun & Moon for years. When I heard that she was offering a more personalized therapeutic class, I jumped at the chance to address my particular problems -- back issues, bad knee, Morton's neuroma in my toes -- all things that made some yoga poses very challenging for me. It was wonderful to have her focus on my issues, and she helped me develop a personal practice to work on these things. Her gentle and encouraging voice, strong knowledge of anatomy, and inventive teaching style made it pleasurable as well as useful.
If I could give her 6 stars I would! I am a tennis teaching professional and my job is very physical. During the last few years I had been experiencing injury after injury which was taking all the enjoyment out of my work. Corey is actually one of my students and she encouraged me to try Yoga with her. I was skeptical at first and thought Yoga was for "other people ". I could not have been more wrong! After one session with Corey I could tell this is exactly what I needed. I have been working with Corey for the last 6 months and I feel 20 years younger! Corey is not only a fantastic Yogini. She is incredibly knowledgeable and well versed in many schools of physical fitness. Like Pilates, Cross Fit, TRX?? She knows it all. Incredibly, her expertise does not stop there. Corey is also a walking repository of nutritional information. Going to Corey is a great value, she just knows so much and is so willing to help! In conclusion, the other thing I like and admire about Corey is that she practices what she preaches. She is in great shape and an athlete herself. As an athlete, that's important to me. I highly recommend you give her a try. You will be glad you did!!
Melissa takes a genuine interest in her students' health and well-being. Her calm and gentle manner is both encouraging and energizing. Melissa is a natural yoga teacher.
Always an enlightening experience! Jordan provides an insightful practice that teaches so much more than a yoga pose!
Gretchen is my yoga instructor who comes to the house. She comes once a week for an hour, and the sessions are on-going. I engaged Gretchen when my sciatica was at its worst, and I couldn't put on my socks. She has helped amazingly well with increasing my mobility. The best aspect is her flexibilty in schedule and knowledge to tailor the session to my current health situation. I cannot think of anything Gretch could improve. She already provides the yoga equipment I don't have and already is knowledgable how yoga can help (or willing to research if she does not know). I considert Gretchen to be an excellent teacher and an excellent resource for anyone who wants or needs at home yoga instruction.
Hillary is an excellent teacher! She is effusive, qualified and fun. She manages to put planks in perspective with personal anecdotes and genuine humor. Her style is a hybrid of barre, yoga, and Pilates. Class is always interesting and HARD. A million thumbs up!
Truly enjoyed my experience with Welcoming Your Wellness Yoga. Highly recommended:)
LA Rose Yiga classes are a breath of fresh air. I totally enjoy her classes. I am always relaxed and rejuvenated after all of her classes. I love this yoga class.
I work in an office environment and after years of having such a sedentary lifestyle I think yoga with Dagmara was just what the doctor ordered. She is professional and worked at my pace and provided positive support and patience with my inflexibility. Already after a few sessions I have a greater range of motion and feel calmer. Thank you Dagmara!
Nicole is amazing. Her credentials say she is a certified fitness trainer and yoga instructor, and she is every bit of that. She is a master of her crafts. But she is way more. She is a coach, confidant, motivator, and most of all, a gifted healer. As a physician, I know a healer when I encounter one. I feel so blessed to have invited Nicole to help me with my journey. After just a few weeks of being tortured by Nicole (nobody says health and fitness are easy) I am in my best shape in years. If I learn some of her amazing communication and motivational skills, she may make me a better doctor as well.
Nice, I got massage for my mom. And she really liked it. Thanks!
Selene embodies all the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga in her instruction. She is patient, gentle and intelligent in her guidance but, most importantly, she is an example of all that yoga represents, both on and off the mat. Namaste.
Takisha's yoga practice is a welcome addition to my weekly workout schedule. She is always well prepared with a thoughtful practice that builds from beginning to end.
No one is more attentive than Lynne. In a full class, she can make you feel like you are in a private session. She delivers a great workout and really helps you stay in touch with why you showed up in the first place!
I teach beginner to intermediate hatha yoga. If I travel to your house, I charge $60 for 1 and a half hour, and $45 if you go to my studio in Hamilton.
Showing yoga has no type, shape or body. It's for everyone and yoga wherever you are. I am taking yoga to those who are not ready for group classes.
I am a motivated yoga teacher with an objective to enable students to experience the benefits of a balanced yoga practice. I lay strong emphasis on alignment and attuning to body's natural wisdom, when tying to guide students into a deeper awareness of intelligent movement as a meditative art. Passionate about yoga, I am always joyful when practicing or teaching yoga and exploring creative ways to impart that joy to students also.
I teach Pilates, yoga, barre and the melt method (a release technique). I specialize in personalizing workouts, working with injuries/issues and challenging students at their level in a supportive and fun environment.
I teach alignment-based, vinyasa flow yoga. Students receive a challenging class according to their level of practice and walk away feeling both energized and relaxed.
Laura obtained her BS in chemical and biological engineering from UMBC and is now conducting brain-imaging research in the Division of Cognitive Science at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. As an engineer, scientist, and violinist, she approaches yoga from a balanced perspective -- practical, scientific, creative and light. She has taught a wide variety of students, including undergraduate and graduate students, doctors, lawyers, musicians, and other professionals.
