Had a stair handrail installed. Very responsive. Flexible hours. Affordable.
EXCELLENT! This is the only way to describe everything about my experience with Tony and Omar of Renaissance Restoration. They corrected the errors of previous installers, took the time to do everything perfectly, and graciously fixed issues for which they weren't hired. Renaissance is the only company I've hired that possesses the same expectation of excellence and high standards as I...and I'm difficult to please. I am thrilled and will use them again, not just for TV mounting but for major home improvements. Don't waste your time with other companies - just call Tony.
I have never encountered a better contractor than Arnold at Vintage. His professionalism, knowledge of the project: handrail, railings, stair rails - wood with wrought iron tines - was impressive, as was the quality of his work. On time arrival on project, cleaned during the work, and finished earlier than expected with stunning results. He went above and beyond when he offered help in two non-project home repairs I was doing myself. I was truly moved by his kindness as I'm working to put our home on the market. Working with contractors is usually stressful, but not with Arnold and assistant, Marlon. Loved them, absolutely highly recommend them.
Luis Valle is an excellent interior painter! He did such an amazing job painting my rooms that I also hired him to lay floor tile in my bathroom. He went above and beyond both times! Will hire him again for any handyman job needed. A+
Beautiful, handmade wood railings. Primed and painted. Also painted trim around front door. Re-grouted flagstone stairs and walkway and replaced four pieces of flagstone where four new handrail main posts were placed. Sealed all the flagstone. It looks fabulous. Friendly, skilled workers who did a great job. They cleaned up at the end of each day and all requests were met with "We'll take care of it." Highly recommended.
Repaired railing and handrail on rear of home. Responded very quickly to my inquiry. Was knowledgeable about the project, had fair pricing and listened to my concerns. Job was completed within a week. During first meeting, settled on work to be done, schedule and project. The night of the project, it rained so there were a few touch ups needed and they came back the very next day and finished the work. Highly recommended.
Jack did a great job on our stairway handrail. Fast, efficient and courteous. Will request Jack for future projects.
Working with Mullins and Sons was wonderful. Justin was reliable, flexible, and the price was fair. We had the doors replaced on 3 closets in our house and Justin took notice to keep the doors in similarity with the doors we already had but weren't replacing. The doors look beautiful and we were pleased with the price. Would definitely recommend Mullins and Sons.
BSG Review I employed Building Services Group to renovate my cooperative unit in Washington DC. I needed to renovate in order to sell the unit and I wanted the renovation to be something that I would love to live in. Joe Giordano understood exactly what I wanted and prepared a thorough estimate of costs and completion time. His estimate was more thorough than the other two estimates that were made for the work. He understood that I wanted materials that would last and that I wanted the entire unit to be renovated and not just one or two rooms. He assisted in cabinet selection; tile and counter tops; bathroom and kitchen fixtures; lighting fixtures; paint (including the redo of the kitchen paint I insisted on that he advised me against); window treatments; and appliances. He managed to save a fabulous shower door that was original to the building and refurbish and reinstall it;, find the perfect match to the parquet flooring that was hidden under the ugly wall to wall carpeting. The floors were finished beautifully, with no noticeable difference in the replacement tiles. The guys on the crew that worked on the unit were terrific. They respected the fact that I was still living in the unit and their work was very neat. They listened to my concerns and acted on them. Joe was at the site every day assuring that the work was complete and materials stored and I was satisfied with the work. He established a good professional relationship with the management of the cooperative and the employees of the building. He followed all of their suggestions, pulled the appropriate permits, notified the neighbors of the work and any issues that might inconvenience them-crowded hallways when furniture or appliance were moved or boxes of belongings ended up in the hallway. The work involved completely gutting the kitchen. Since the building had recently redone the plumbing, there were only minor changes that involved moving the sink to a different location. The electrical service was updated. They replaced the linoleum with tile, installed cabinets and countertops and replaced all appliances. In the two bathrooms the flooring was replaced with tile and the electricity was upgraded. In the small bathroom the shower was retiled and the vanity replaced. In the master bathroom, the bathtub was resurfaced, the shower door refurbished; the vanities replaced. One of the walk in closets was rebuilt. In the bedroom, the wall to wall carpeting was removed and the parquet floors cleaned and polished. The room was painted-as were all of the rooms-and the window treatments replaced. The small bedroom was repainted and the wall to wall removed and the floors cleaned and polished. In the dining room, the track lighting was replaced with a chandelier and the room completely repainted. The same is true of the living room. The lighting in the entrance hall was also replaced. BSG took great care in identifying every detail and assuring that the work was done correctly. It took five weeks from the beginning to complete the job. The work was done in May/June of 2012. I could not have been happier with the work or the service that I received from BSG.
Callie, Randy, and Andy were great to work with! Callie is super personable and easy to coordinate everything with. Randy and Andy were great craftsmen who spent extra time and effort to make sure our project was completed to perfection. Our project was to install two sets of handrails in our old, historic home. Along the way we ran into a few snags - steel studs, light switches in the way, the wrong size ballasters. The guys took care of each obstacle professionally and timely. Once the railings were all said and done, we noticed that one of the posts needed a finishing touch. Randy came all the way out again just to do a finishing touch that took 3 minutes. The railings look amazing - very classy. We will definitely use these guys again for our under stair storage project. Thanks Parz Designs!
Terry has completed many jobs for us. He built handrails from the house down into the garage. They are so sturdy and just what we asked for. He cleaned everything up perfectly. He is willing to do big or small jobs (he changes our smoke detector batteries). He is careful about time & charges. Great handyman!!
Lewis took care of several small jobs during a day at our place. He fixed some outdoor molding, rejiggered closet and interior doors, re-caulked a shower, and even cut a nice outdoor handrail because nothing good was available at Home Depot. Excellent attention to detail and worked very efficiently.
