Browse these low voltage contractors with great ratings from Thumbtack customers in Hyattsville.
On time and let me know when they were on the way. One of my clothing boxes broke (I forgot to tape the bottom of the box) and he used his own contractor bags to help me out.
Great craftsmanship, professional, and easy to communicate with. Worked with my schedule to complete the project according to my timeline. My bed was put together perfectly, and headboard mounted into masonry. I find a common theme amongst contractors in that they don't clean up after themselves, leaving saw dust and waste materials for the home owner to clean. While I did have to do some fine tuning in the cleaning department, Trenton did at least attempt to clean up the area by picking up and disposing of the larger waste pieces. I would definitely hire him again.
Mr. Cassagnol from Trebor Tech was a consummate professional who thoroughly went through the methodology he used for routing wires and how it corresponded to his estimate, created through a very thorough walkthrough and interview process. The care and detail to attention in even the smallest of tasks was patently obvious. I would highly recommend Trebor Tech for any of your home wiring or low voltage needs.
Keith came on time and fixed our electrical issue promptly. Very professional.
I met with Carlos a few weeks before deciding to hire COLORAMMA for the job. The initial email exchange via Thumbtack was very professional to our phone calls moving towards an in-home estimate. Carlos arrived on-time as we agreed on eager to hear my ideas. The consult took almost an hour as he listened to me ramble about my visions of my new home. My house is 5 levels and we walked the entire house while he quoted me various prices per room along with other work COLORAMMA does. Since I'm BIG on customer services, I wanted to investigate some of what I read prior to hiring for the job. Carlos presents very well, professional, attentive and offers suggestions for the best price, quality and timeliness of the work performed. He explained to me things that I wouldn't consider that could change the price; higher or lower, depending on the area while giving me the option to choose rather convince me that something should be done that doesn't. I felt totally comfortable after we met that he was genuinely a good businessman serious about providing excellent work and customer service. On the day of the job, I received a confirmation call the day before, along with a discount contractors code for the paint. I received a message 30 minutes prior to arrival that we were on-time. He said the job would take XX hours and was finished about 3 hours sooner than what I planned for, which gave me time to do my personal business rather "watch paint dry." He and his partner were very professional, polite and worked well together as they divided the work and pretty much finished at the same time while helping eachother wrap it up. He came to me with a salute that they were finished and I conducted an inspection and was very pleased. Everything was very nice, cleaned up and I loved the paint work and colors I chose. He even did the trim, which wasn't expected. Do your homework and give them a try. He's been in business for quite a while and I don't believe he would have lasted if the comments are factual. I have two more (large) jobs in my house that need painting and I'll definitely give Carlos and his team a call because I feel confident that I'm getting a fair price and quality work. I have pictures that I'm going to send Carlos so he can use them for his site or show his work as a reference.
Angel was a pleasure to work with. He arrived at 5pm on the dot, which is a big issue for me. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very pleased with the small electrical job I gave him so we are starting another larger project this Wednesday. I highly recommend him!
Joey is a master electrician with all the important credentials AND he is a great guy who leaves a very clean worksite and has a ton of experience. He will be our electrician for all future projects. Best contractor I've had in the DC area
Our electrical outlets in the living room all stopped working, 8 outlets total. Could not figure out what was wrong. Westly came and was able to quickly and efficiently diagnose and repair the electrical short that 2 other electricians could not figure out. He was very friendly and professional. I would recommend him to anyone.
RB Contractors was all-around great; responsiveness, availability, communication, service, workmanship, attitude, price and completion. i will definitely use them again.
It was a pleasure working with Gary. I needed him to remove some rails on my deck so that another contractor could come in and encapsulate my windows. The price was reasonable and I will most definitely be using him again in the future.
Did a fantastic job on AV wiring and component installation throughout our home. Finished cat 5e and cable wiring that original home builder hadn't completed, ran new wiring for high-end 7.1 sound system, mounted in-wall speakers in home theater and hung our TVs.
Robert did an excellent job on our floor at a very reasonable price. He was on time on every occasion he came to our house and did everything he said he would just as promised. Robert is trustworthy, efficient and hardworking. He also gave us advice on electrical and plumbing projects too. We plan to work with him to do work on our entire home!
Mt. Everest Electrical Services (Narayan) did an excellent job installing my ceiling fan. He was prompt, pleasant and professional. I look forward to hiring him again.
Sol Kushner was amazing! I have a old house with low voltage wiring and Sol knew exactly what my problem was and it didn't take him long to repair it. Sol was clean and on time and very polite. I was amazed at his very reasonable price too! I will use Kushner Electric every time I need a electrician.
After several estimates from plumbing vendors, I hired PJ Handyman Services for a hot water heater installation. His cost was reasonable, not too high and not too low and he responded to my urgent need of hot water with same day service, even working after business hours. Patrick is personable and knowledgeable in the services he provides and I will definitely hire him for future jobs around my house.
Had a wall that wasn't flat and a giant picture that was that needed to be hung on the not-flat wall, so we needed help. Robert came by on the same day I sent a request, hung the picture in about 15 minutes and refused to take any more money than his (very low) estimate (second estimate from a different contractor was 3X his price).
Eugene Electric Co came to my home on time, replaced my electrical sockets in no time and charged me at an affordable price. Both electricians were professional and very friendly.
Matt was very professional. He quoted me a fair and accurate price. The day of service he showed up on time and completed a low-voltage electrical task. He had a colleague of his assist him, who was also very professional. Matt was very knowledgeable and was able to get the task done within my schedule. A++ Electrician. Professional, Punctual, Knowledgeable. I will be coming to Matt for all of my electrical needs.
A great electrical contractor on top of his game. Courteous, polite knowlegeable. I've used them twice now with great results.
I had Unique Homes (Simeon) complete 4 different projects for me, each progressively bigger. All of them were successful -- although not without little issues that came up now and then, but that were always taken care of. The prices were very good and the jobs were done well. Job #1 - I had a front porch that needed concrete work. This was a relatively small job, but it was done well. Job #2 - This was a remodel of small bathroom. Again, the job was done well and was a good price. And Simeon indulged us owners half-way through the project when we did not like something about the floor tiles we had chosen. Totally our issue, we did not really like how it looked when it started getting installed. But he undid some of his work and we were able to fix it. Job #3 - This was a full bathroom remodel, so a more significant job. Again, this project was done well, but the costs savings really started to come through on this project. We were very happy with the final look of the bathroom. Job #4 - This was by far the biggest job. It was a complete remodel of our master bathroom. I had received various quotes from other contractors in the $30-40K range for the project (including materials). Simeon's prices were less than a third of that, however that did not include any of the materials. In the end, I think the materials is the source of a lot of the savings since I think the others hide mark-ups (or store kick-backs) in the materials. For this project we went to some high end stores and looked at their display designs and chose/copied what we liked. We chosen something that was based on a white marble tile as a base ...and Lowes/HD carried it at a fraction of the cost of Tile City. I think we saved $5k on the marble along. We bought some of the more unique accent stuff in Tile City at full price, but for everything else we were able to replicate the Tile City look with HD or Lowe's materials of equal quality. We bought a high end shower panel, but bought it through Costco. The same fixture at a high-end bathroom store was thousands more than what we paid. At some higher end stores Simeon would give us the Unique Homes discount that he had negotiated. Some places (like the glass doors for the shower) were still expensive...but I ended up with the same bathroom that would have been $40k for about $20K. So yes, I recommend Unique Homes.
Mr. Marshall does commercial and residential jobs. I have utilized Mr. Marshalls services for many projects including plumbing, carpentry, and heat pump problems. In my kitchen he has installed a dishwasher, stove, new sink and faucet, a water filter system, a vinyl floor and also painted and caulked the walls. He also replaced two water damaged doors with new handmade cabinet doors that matched the existing doors perfectly. In my bathroom he installed a new vanity, faucet, toilet, medicine cabinet, custom shelving, a shower rod, and done repairs to the tub and shower faucet. Other jobs he has done for me include installing a central vac which I love, replaced and relocated my water heater to a more suitable location in my home, completed a beautiful tile job in my entry way and deck repair. Mr. Marshall is skilled with his work and is a problem solver. He has been able to complete difficult jobs that other contractors werent willing or able to complete for me and also for friends who I referred him to. He is skilled at dealing with inspectors, permitting and is able to cut through the red tape involved in dealing with county organizations. As a single woman I trust him to do the work I need fairly and correctly and I have referred him to several friends who have also become repeat customers. He has done basement waterproofing, well/septic repairs, and ran gas lines for friends of mine. I highly recommend his services
