FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very simple, and is as follows: $35/hr for computer tutoring and troubleshooting with a flat travel fee, depending on how far I travel to meet the client. $65/per house to photograph real estate, plus a travel fee. This rate includes online proofs and a disk of at least 40 images. $125/per portrait session, plus a travel fee. This rate includes up to 90 minutes of shooting time, a minimum of 50 images, and online proofs. Travel fees are calculated from Hyattsville and depend on how far I have to travel. Generally, the fee will be between $15-$25, and is primarily to cover gas costs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently taking security software classes, which are prerequisites for entrance and acceptance into UMUCs cyber security technology program. I stay up to date by reading the latest computer magazines online, and I keep in touch with several photographers from when I was in photography school so that we hone each others' skills.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love computers and I love teaching. I'm of the age whereby I had a huge learning curve; I didn't grow up with a computer at home and took my first DOS class at age 22. I've taken other computer courses since then but am also self taught on many systems and processes. I'm formally enrolling into UMUCs cyber-security program nest year, after I finish up my certifications at Montgomery College.
