Everyone wants to read that Rob gets results, and yes that is absolutely true so let's start there. And he ensures everyone gets noticeable results very quickly. Beyond being an excellent results-driven trainer, Rob is very low-stress, focused on health, and keeps a positive attitude with his clients. I also enjoy working with his group fitness classes as he takes pride in working with NORMAL PEOPLE and gives them reasonable goals step-by-step until reaching an optimal fitness goal - which is how he keeps his clients long term and instills a drive to JUST KEEP GOING! Rob is easy to work with so there is no quitting attitude because it was way too much to handle (or too little) - he truly finds a perfect balance for every workout. My personal results with Rob was from very out of shape to very in-shape in 6 months time - with about 40 pounds lost (and dropped about half of that in the first 6-8 weeks - and I'm not much of a dieter). Rob is also very, very reasonably priced and not greedy - despite being in an industry where he could very easily charge a lot more for what he does. I would not work with any other trainer and I whole-heartedly recommend him to everyone. I never had a thought about working with a trainer until Rob approached me on a treadmill in 2009. Thanks, Rob, for 6 awesome years now!
Gaurav's classes are truly and amazing experience and one tht has become integral to my practice. He has shown me what meditation can be through movement. I find myself being able to push myself in his classes through my body breath and mind and supersede my limitations. He has so much knowledge to share and I am so thankful to be able to deepen my practice with him. Gaurav, has a magic about his teaching that makes you so comfortable and motivated in every class.
My wife and I had Asya come to our home to provide a one hour yoga lesson. She was responsive, punctual, listened to what we were looking for and very professional. Depending on what you are looking for, our yoga lesson style seemed more about flexibility and relaxation then a rigorous workout.
If I could give her 6 stars I would! I am a tennis teaching professional and my job is very physical. During the last few years I had been experiencing injury after injury which was taking all the enjoyment out of my work. Corey is actually one of my students and she encouraged me to try Yoga with her. I was skeptical at first and thought Yoga was for "other people ". I could not have been more wrong! After one session with Corey I could tell this is exactly what I needed. I have been working with Corey for the last 6 months and I feel 20 years younger! Corey is not only a fantastic Yogini. She is incredibly knowledgeable and well versed in many schools of physical fitness. Like Pilates, Cross Fit, TRX?? She knows it all. Incredibly, her expertise does not stop there. Corey is also a walking repository of nutritional information. Going to Corey is a great value, she just knows so much and is so willing to help! In conclusion, the other thing I like and admire about Corey is that she practices what she preaches. She is in great shape and an athlete herself. As an athlete, that's important to me. I highly recommend you give her a try. You will be glad you did!!
Gretchen is an amazing yoga instructor. I've taken her classes and her workshops. One of the things you'll really enjoy about her is that she is very open and approachable. She makes you feel completely at ease no matter where you are in the practice...beginner or expert. She loves the practice but you can also tell that she cares about her students as she goes out of her way to help them before, during and after class. For classes, workshops or private sessions I'd recommend her highly!
Nastasha is an exceptional Yoga instructor. She taught a few yoga classes for my company and the feedback was excellent. I look forward to continuing to work with Nastasha.

Cassy's Yoga class is amazing. The energy in her classes are so peaceful and accepting. I recently just started doing yoga about 6 months ago, and have attended quite a few classes from other schools and instructors; but none comes close to the experiece i got from Cassy's classes. For first time i felt ok with being a beginner in yoga, she provides such a non judgmental space which for me is important. Also the one to one attention you get from her and the other instructor is so helpful !! ohh and the playlist of music in her classes are mind blowing !! for me it put me in such a tranquil state. I highly recommend everyone to try her yoga experience!
Mariela is a very skilled yoga teacher for children. She sets a positive tone for the class, introduces new poses and concepts in a very child-friendly way, and is very organized. She would be a great teacher for any child or family yoga class!
Ravi is awesome! I have taken several classes from her and I think if I can just keep taking them I can get really good at yoga. Sometimes you find someone who is just really strong at yoga, and Ravi is one of those people. She has stamina, technique, flexibility, enthusiasm - the whole package. Just sitting across from her in class, her strength seems to somehow transmit across the room. She makes it easy!
I am not keen on exercise, but I know how importnat it is, so I look for activities I can truly enjoy so that I'll stick with it. After a demo class on Middle East dancing (belly dancing to most of us), I decided this was for me! Mary made the classes a lot of fun. There was no pressure on those of us who were not the most coordinated or graceful dancers. Everyone was supportive and encouraged others when they did something well. We all got the colorful scarves with metal dangles and felt totally ready for the sultan's harem! The music was exotic and came from many countries, and that was a nice bonus I had not really considered. Best of all, this was great exercise. I was expecting to exercise the tummy muscles, and it did not surprise me that my legs also got workout, but I did not expect to feel the exercise in my arms. It is a full-body workout. I have a broken ankle right now and am not doing ANY exercise, but I miss my dance class and am eager to get back. I can't remember ever feeling that way about an exercise class!
I always loved taking group classes with Tiffany, so when I had the chance to do some individual sessions with her, I didn't hesitate. Tiffany is a very knowledgeable instructor and has a gentle and creative approach with students. As a yoga instructor myself, I found it super valuable to learn from such an experienced teacher and especially appreciated her anatomical knowledge and her eye for the subtle shifts in my body in each pose. After each session, I walked away with a new nugget of knowledge. Tiffany balances the technical aspects of both the physical and mental practice of yoga in her teaching. Plus, she's super fun! I would highly recommend setting up a session or series of sessions with Tiffany if you get the chance. You won't regret it!
I've been doing yoga on and off for the last 15 years and Kate is one of my favorite instructors in DC. I've been taking classes with her since she started her instruction at CorePower. She has a great energy, which makes even the most challenging of classes fun. The way a class or flow sequence is queued is important to me and Kate's instruction is easy to follow. I've been in classes that have a mix of skill levels and she makes an effort to be sure that everyone gets the most from their respective practice. I also like that she's really committed to her own practice and advancement as a yogi and an instructor. Great, great yoga instructor!
Friends convinced me to try spin. When you are 50lbs overweight and have sludge for blood, your first spin class could be a very intimidating experience. Fortunately it was Lynne's class. She made me feel at ease immediately and more importantly kept me coming back. She motivated without being preachy. She encouraged me to get back into road riding. Since meeting her I have accomplished things that i never thought i could - 5ks, a sprint tri, a century ride as well as a 50 mile NYC ride. My fav event is a 45 mile road bike ride with stops at 23 pools for a lap at each. The best 7 hours of my year for the last 4 years. You couldn't ask for a better ally in regaining your health.
In her class, Grace, provides the perfect environment to experience the healing effects of understanding and knowing your body and its energy. She is knowledgable and readily shares her insights and experiences to benefit everyone in the class. I would go to her class everyday, if I could.
Valerie is great at tailoring her private yoga lessons to your needs. She goes out of her way to help identify my body's problem areas and work them out, and I feel SO much better (body and mind) on weeks when I make sure to get my session with her in. As well as creating an experience really good for what I need, she's professional and fun to work with. I really enjoy my sessions with her.
I've been a happy customer of Sonja Boggs since 2014. I'm a burn survivor and have really appreciated the rehabilitative powers of yoga long after my burn scars have healed. Now I keep going to Sonja because it keeps me more limber and feeling better all around, especially Sunday nights after her class. Sonja's yoga style is perfect for beginners through advanced and she reads pleasant proverbs and such during your 3 to 5 minute stretches to further your appreciation of being good to your body and soul. She now teaches in Purcerville and I drive 30 minutes from Ashburn for her Sunday 4:15 class because it is one of the highlights of my week.
Anita is an extremely experienced instructor. She showed my lots of things I didn't know about body problems and ways to help them. Her regular classes are fun & interesting and her personal sessions are excellent.
