- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated, but I would like to point out that an hourly rate of shooting includes days and days of post processing. Some prospective clients are not aware of the amount of work that I do after the photoshoot.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings, weddings, weddings. Occasional portrait sessions, seniors. I also do some graphic design and photo editing jobs, photo restoration.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For wedding photography: preplan, have a timeline, send me the timeline beforehand. If you do family pictures after the ceremony, let the people that you want in the photos know beforehand, or they will take off. Make a list. The more you plan the general schedule, the more you can totally relax and have fun. Also if you can afford it and feel like it, schedule engagement photos (with the same photographer that will shoot your wedding). You will be SO MUCH MORE relaxed on your big day and you will be more comfortable with having your personal paparazzi. Especially if you are a shy person, it will show in your photos if you are uncomfortable. For portraiture: same thing, be prepared. Try on your outfits before you come to the photo session, think about poses, look at photos in books or internet that could be inspirational to you. I can and will help you, but with a limited amount of time, it's better if you already did some homework.
