Family Law Attorney
So far so good. I’m still in the beginning phases of my divorce. But, I picked Mr. Hoverman because he was reasonably responsive and may even respond over the weekend. He was pretty clear and concise and upfront about the pricing, so I felt like I could trust him in that regard. Always seemed to remember my case. I did consultations with other attorneys and they appeared to have forgotten about my case when I followed up. So, he appears to be organized and has a good memory. I think he has a clear plan of action and if he doesn’t know the answer he appears to have the adequate skills to research and find out what is needed. Overall, appears to be a knowledgeable, well rounded attorney that can get done what is needed. May update as more time goes by.Jun 26, 2019Verified

Traffic Law Attorney
Andrew is a great value for the cost and spends the time to understand and research your issue. Overall I am happy with his work. Cop didn't show up for traffic ticket so the final result was positive. He also had a backup plan.Nov 25, 2016Verified
I recently had a legal issue in Baltimore County. Mr. Hoverman was very professional and straight forward with his advice. He explained the process and the possible outcomes. and suggested to me the best choice for myself. I highly recommend Mr. Hoverman for his knowledge of the law and on his advice for the best possible outcome for me.Jan 26, 2015
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I strive to offer the best service at reasonable rates. I am happy to offer payment plans to people facing legal matters. Quality representation should not necessarily require a large retainer up front, as most people are not expecting to be brought into court to contest a case. I recognize the realities of personal finances, and am willing to serve the client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The typical process usually includes a 30 minute free consultation. Regardless of the type of case, I usually will ask many questions of the client about their situation. If it is a domestic relations case (i.e. divorce, child custody), I may ask questions about when the marriage began, when the children were born, what property there may be, and many other questions. It is common for me to have a question on a question in order to clarify exactly what is going on or what the situation is. If it is a criminal or traffic defense case, I also ask many questions regarding what [allegedly] happened, who may have witnessed the event, and get a sense of what was going on at that moment in time or what lead up to the event. I also take time to explain to the client what the process is, what certain terms mean, and generally plan a path way forward to approaching their case. Every case is different, and it is important that the client understand what possible outcomes there may be. In short, I feel strongly that a client should feel educated about their case and feel a degree of confidence in having expectations of the potential outcomes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes. It is important for attorneys to be up to date on case law and recent developments in the law. An attorney, in my view, should always look to see how they can get better every day.
