- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For smaller jobs I prefer to charge hourly, and larger more detailed jobs I will do an assessment and offer an estimate. I usually charge a service fee which includes us showing up and assessing the problem as well as offering the best solution. However for Thumbtack customers my assessment is complimentary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with an introduction to myself and my business ethics, and I also tell them about my business and our vision. I also like to get a feel for the customer and their needs, then give them a detailed synopsis of how a project or service can be carried out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are affiliated with continuing education organizations such as PMPV and IFMA. I am also licenced as a Plumber by WSSC, Maryland, and Virginia. Through experience I have been afforded the opportunity to learn tile work, flooring, drywall hanging and finishing, as well as millwork and appliance installation and repair.
