FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Just would say there is not ONE set price based on a set type of media-production, even based on time. There are SO many factors/variables involved, there is no way to have a set price for something unless it is "cookie-cutter" and very basic. I DO quote it based on the job, and NOT per hour.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes ... all the time. I attend online seminars at least a few times per month. I constantly read trade magazines both printed and online, as well as participate in a multitude of forums. I also read or view tutorial videos at least once a week. I stay educated on the latest hardware and software as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always had an affinity to motion-pictures/film/video and animation (I made many movies growing up with a Super-8 film cam, then onto 16mm and video) as well as animating, starting with "flip-animations" on the corners of notepads. I had done it as a hobby for a LONG time, and someone said to me one day "Your stuff is better than 90% of the so-call 'professional' stuff I see out there, you should do this for a living." The rest is history.
